Very nice café, scone was great. Nice atmosphere inside, plenty of seats and not too noisy either even though was busy.

Just came across while wandering around Whitby. Staff friendly, great atmosphere and the food was very good. Quick service and dog friendly. Toilets upstairs The coffee shop is on a couple of levels quite tight for push/wheelchairs.

If i could give the place 0 stars i would.Awful- ly expensive experience! We certainly wont be returning that is for sure.Terrible rude member of staff, made to feel very awkward indeed.£20 for two basic sandwiches and a apple juice/diet coke. Clearly they saw us coming!Never again!!One member of staff needs to be retrained as had zero people skills and a bad attitude.I wouldn’t recommend NOHaving looked i can see on the reviews others have had similar experiences…

Didn't get a good welcome when we entered and asked for a table.Looked through the menu, sat and waited for someone to take the order as the waitress was about 4 steps away from us. It was a customer close by that said we go to the till ( where the waitress was stood) to place our order. The toastie (not a lot in it, but dripping fat from the cheese) was served with soggy crisps and limp salad leaves. Mentioned when I paid about the crisps and leaves and reply " they were fresh this morning!) and a stare....Not a good experience

This is a brilliant cafe, quirky vibes with mismatched furniture all with a Sherlock theme. The scones and cakes are lushThe food was gorgeous and really good portions, we couldn't finish ours.Chunky veg soup, roasted veg panini and open veg sandwich ? all absolutely delicious.Staff were really friendly and service was excellent.

Such an amazing atmosphere here! Super friendly service and amazing food, especially the coffee and walnut cake which was to die for :) highly recommend for brunch in Whitby! Lots of vegetarian options

Quaint cafe and absolutely lovely cakes! Have been going for years, but disappointed with the queue system being rather unorganised, I get it’s a small place and few staff so hard to keep track but I witnessed many people paying and leaving (they were sitting in not taking away) yet nobody popped outside to get us, this also meant some customers who wanted to come in ended up leaving as the wait was far too long and thought we were forgotten about. We ended up standing near the doorway after a further 10 minutes of waiting in the rain with no staff member in sight (yet customers leaving the cafe) where a waitress told us we need to stand outside (again) yet there’s a sign in the doorway stating to wait there to be seated?! ? Very confusing!

Never been here before. I'm a bit limited with food choices at the moment and we had a dog with us. It was our wedding anniversary and I love to sit in a cafe, trying to find something that I could eat and we could take a dog in had proved hard. We saw this cafe and thought it was right down our street. My husband went and ordered our food, I had picked the only thing I could eat on the menu. My husband sat down and we had got settled, then I had one of the staff tell me I didn't have the filling for my jacket, as I mentioned I didn't really have an option so just said I'd have a plain jacket. It was frustrating but not the end of the world. My husbands order came and it wasn't what he had actually asked for. I had given him my crisps and coleslaw from my plate as I couldn't eat either of those but he had to sit and wait for his food and watch me eat. I know that this isn't the kind of this that would probably happen, it just happened to be when it was our anniversary and had kind of ruined the day. Other wise the staff were nice and the food that we had was lovely and the atmosphere was really cosy. Just an honest review of the time we were there for. We will be back and hopefully a better experience next time.

Great little coffee shop with eclectic decor. Almost felt like we were in an illustration.More seating than you think, and staff were happy for us to get coffee close to closing time. Also had a vegan chocolate orange cake which was delicious!

Quirky, dog friendly cafe in the centre of Whitby. Excellent service and prices, with an interesting, varied menu: we had a bacon sandwich, a pile of pancakes with maple syrup, good coffee and ginger beer. Recommended.

Excellent coffee shop, very cosy and full of detail. If you stop at one coffee shop in Whitby, it must be this one. The queue was out the door so we knew it would be worth the wait. The Victoria slice melts in your mouth and the whole atmosphere is something to behold.

We stopped by just to get out of the rain and turned out to be a gem. We just had coffee and cake and was very reasonably priced! Much cheaper than a Costa or Starbucks. Will go again if we visit whitby
