Lovely little cafe just a short walk away from the busy centre of Whitby. The food was fresh and tasty and the portion sizes were very generous. Also very good value for money. Would definitely recommend!

We were exploring the streets in Whitby and stumbled upon Stokers Cafe at the top of Skinner St. What a fantastic find. A lovely quiet location in a sun trap. The staff were excellent as was the selection of food and drinks. The cakes are extensive, delicious and home made. It's well worth a visit. The cafe is dog friendly too.

We had a very strange experience visiting Stokers. The waitress tried to take our order before we had even sat down/took off coats/looked at the menu and was huffing when we asked for another minute to actually look at the menu. It was mostly empty so no need to rush us.
She came back almost immediately and we felt rushed to order, and then unfortunately they'd sold out of what we wanted. The alternative was nice enough and the hot chocolates we ordered were satisfactory.
The waitress and the lady behind the till were rude, huffing and muttering, rushing us and just generally gave a very weird atmosphere.
They did similar to another table next to us. Overall, I wouldn't return.
