Called in for tea and coffee, small friendly cafe . Dogs welcome. Serving a good selection of hot drinks and light meals. Service can be slow when busy.

Service was very slow. Even though there was only one other table occupied, we waited around half an hour for a toastie and cheese scone. I didn't find the staff very friendly, nobody smiled or made us feel welcome. The food was nice though but for the price it should have been.

A flat no was given when asked for an egg in my bacon sandwich! Mushroom soup was simply vile and inedible, didn’t dare to complain after the flat no we got earlier. Won’t recommend or return ever again.

We come to Helmsley a lot but this was our 1st visit to Crema. We ordered hot drinks and food. Our drinks came quickly. After 35 minutes I asked where our paninis were and was told the ticket got messed up. We waited 40 minutes for our food. Not a great experience. It felt a bit chaotic yet it wasn't busy. Sadly we won't be coming back. We did get an apology when paying but were still charged in full. A disappointing experience.

This looked like a lovely little cafe so we decided to try it for some lunch. Upon entering we were shown to a table and the waitress soon came to take our order. The tea and hot chocolate arrived quickly and then we sat and waited and waited some more for our food. The couple on the next table who ordered just before us asked where their food was and we heard the woman in the kitchen shouting. A waitress came out and said there had been a mix up but their food was being prepared now. As it was now 40 minutes since our drinks arrived we decided we could not wait any longer for our panini and jacket. We went to the till and told the girl that we only wanted to pay for the drinks as we had been waiting too long for the food. The girl just said “ok”, with no apology whatsoever. I actually had to ask her what the issue was with the food which she then admitted she had not put the ticket in. They might have just been having an off day, but this was really dreadful customer service and we will not be back.

Nice welcome on entering, shown to a corner table for two. Immediately decided to find another table due to extremely loud lady on next table . Ordered two Coffee's, One Fruit Scone and One Carrot Cake. Coffee was fine, Carrot Cake was stale, very low quality and a "Blind Tasting" would not identified as Carrot Cake. Fruit Scone was on the Small side, served with Jam and Cream but no Butter ?. Total bill of over £14 would have been just bearable if the Quality had been a lot higher. Very disappointed.

We came here today with family, and our 3 small dogs, as it is a dog friendly place. Two of our dogs are nervous, and are much happier on laps. Both dogs are harmless. We were told to put the dogs on the floor due to hygiene reasons. But in a matter of fact manor. Secondly I ordered a chocolate milkshake, but it was more like a very sweet caramel milkshake. Not sure what went wrong! I did return it back, for it to sent back out to me with more caramel added and even more sweeter, without a hint of chocolate colour. We also ordered several brie, bacon and cranberry panini’s, and was promised crispy bacon. We were served soggy panini’s and the bacon was not crispy. Overpriced for what we received, and generally staff we not overly friendly. Unsatisfied experience ?

Great little coffee and tea café. Friendly and helpful staff. When I left the café I didn't realise that I hadn't picked up my brand new cap. The lovely owner came out to find me and returned my cap. What a lovely thing to do.We had had a great time eating and drinking, and the service made our visit a memorable one.Thank you so much.

It was ok, nice food & decaf coffee! A little bit expensive tho'.
Not terribly welcoming, sat very close to the toilet, very dry cakes and definitely over-priced for the quality on offer.

Went for lunch and sat out in the courtyard which was lovely in the sun! Food was delicious. The thing that stood out to me the most was how friendly and professional every member of staff was. We'll be back!
