We visited last night for my partners birthday meal and the service and food we received was exceptional. From the get go the quiet and quaint atmosphere was so relaxed, non stuffy and welcoming to people from all walks of life, and the two lovely ladies serving simply could not do enough for us. Really loved this restaurant, personal service with a small beautiful menu. Every element of each dish described by the lovely gentleman that served us. Food was delicious as was the wine and really reasonably priced.
My husband picked this most wonderful restaurant’ comfy atmosphere- house restaurant - Michelin listed - in beautiful York. We live in Florida so everything was so different. I mention that because the starter special was a freshly caught tuna carpaccio- I understand that tuna caught in UK waters is rare. It melted in my mouth. Very different flavor than tuna in the US.
