“Fantastic pub that serves great food with a friendly atmosphere, the dog friendly landlord Tristan is an absolute star who loves animals. There is a dog run, doggy menu and darts, pool tables board games for humans or you can just chat with the locals who are very welcoming.”

“Amazing dining experience! Not sure why it isn’t Michelin Star. Fine dining to perfection. I had the giant prawn, monkfish and sticky toffee pudding. Lovely ambience, sophisticated vibe and great bar area. Located in a small village in Nun-Monkton. Will be visiting again.”

“Exquisite food, super fresh, tasty and classic dishes with a twist, we are here this evening for my 40th birthday. The menu is packed full of delightful dishes making it hard to choose! The Dexter beef tartare was flavoursome and a beautifully balanced dish, clever use of texture. My venison was to die for with the smooth artichoke sauce, perfectly cooked, I really could go on. Lovely traditional and classic interior, friendly staff, seamless service and just overall fantastic quality produce. Definitely won’t be our last visit, we’re really big foodies and make a point of visiting Michelin recommended and awarded restaurants, this is in the top handful at the top.”

The pub is frequented by the local community who clearly know the worth of this place and provide a genial atmosphere. All who work there couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant.
