A generally three star experience, the oysters were fantastic and fresh which saved it from being a 2.5 star, the rest of the food was ok. Because it was a seafood place I imagined there would be some inventive and unique fish dishes but there weren't really. The fish soup didn't seem to have any fish in it, and the superior salad was just rice, avocado, pomegranate & pea shoots with no other substance. This restaurant is top quality. The food was outstanding, the best we’ve had in a long time and it was a gorgeous treat for me and my mum. We were served by General manager Katie and Daniel assistant manager and their service was the cherry on top of the day, they were wonderful. I really could not fault any part of our visit and will be quick to return! Thank you so much x
During a short stay in York, we came across multiple restaurants to dine at, however Loch Fyne was by far our favourable. From the exterior, it’s a beautiful old building, lined inside with its original heritage. Windows open, the breeze blows perfectly in from next to the river which was needed on a warm summer afternoon. Decor is pretty and it offered a wonderful ambiance.
