We were visiting York with friends and went for lunch to Lucia. The restaurant was buzzing with customers. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. Beautiful fresh prepared dishes full of flavour. Service was spot on as well. I will definitely go again when I'm back in York.

A delight of a restaurant that we almost missed as most of it is in an alleyway. My husband had duck breast for his main and I had chicken skewers, both were excellent and reasonably priced. I can imagine you would need to book in the summer even with the romantic outdoor

Open until 22.00hrs. 1st choice from menu was unavailable, had we been informed when ordering we probably wouldn't have stayed,but as we were deciding on an alternative from the menu literally as we gave the waitress our new choice the starter arrived. Table water brought but no glasses which we had to ask for. When main arrived incorrect side brought with it. Was taken away and replaced but main dish left with us which we started to eat as it would have been cold had we waited for the correct side to be brought out. No table call back to see how food was which considering the 2 issues already was really disappointing. This was unfortunate as both ourselves and the table next to us are in the trade, the table next to us shocked that more attention hadn't been put into making sure the rest of out dining experience was good. Food was good, but have eaten better for the price. Shame no one asked how everything was as we prepared to leave, unfortunately this on top of other issues means we wouldn't visit again. Venue looked the part but sadly didn't meet the expectation.

Not a bad price. A little over rated. I had to remind the team I had mains coming. Also ordered a bottle of water and got tap. Also service charge included. Lamb was confusing and not great tasting. Service inconsistent and I felt like a nuisance being there. Great vibe!
