Friendly service, pie was very nice, good pastry, veg cooked well too, if I had to be picky, the mash didn't taste as good as homemade buttery mash, tasted more like the powdered kind. Still, highly recommended, would go back.
Visited here on a Friday lunchtime. We ordered the halloumi wrap with roasted peppers, salsa, and baby gem lettuce but I asked for this as a sandwich which they did. Also ordered the chicken wrap with chips, and the steak and ale pie with vegetables, mashed potato, and gravy. You can order off the lunch or main menu at lunch time which is handy. One of the loveliest pubs in York, visit every time we're there without fail.We've had lunch and evening meal a couple times and it's always been amazing food.Service is incredible, lovely staff and really clean.Highly recommend the lunchtime menu with sandwiches and wraps, amazing food for such a good price. Great value for money.Can't wait to come back ?
