Intrigued as to how our food bill came to £86.60 when eating here yesterday evening with our 2 children, we shared x 2 starters and x 2 curries and sundries and according to the menu this should of come to £44.75 so it looks like we were charged the additional £41.85 for x 2 pints of lager, a diet coke and a lemonade absolutely scandalous! When my husband was taking his time looking at the bill to query it we were advised we could not take the bill with us and provided a VAT bill that was not itemised. Will not be eating here again!

Disgraceful! Poor customer service constantly stared at by staff whilst trying to eat very intimidatingly. Felt very uncomfortable staff were rude felt rushed. Waiter spilt my meal all over the table and scraped it up. Warm drink was thrust on table without any politeness I was not offered any ice!. At the end of the meal which we was given a plate with 2 small mints with our bill which was over £100 there were four of us asked if we would tip them with our bank card!! The food was not nice chicken was like rubber and substituted with potatoes. Not given any choice of seating placed in seating in the window of the resteraunt despite the place nearly empty no wonder it was, we felt robbed! Save your money and eat somewhere that treats customers right and serves decent food. Horrible service worst Indian restaurant I have ever eaten in a the rudest staff I have ever met need some customer service training!!

Absolutely terrible service was very poor food was very poor staff stared at us during the meal we were made very uncomfortable very little communication this restaurant is the worst indian reataurant i have ever been in and if i could have chose 0 stars i would.do yourselves a favor and spend your monies elswere with nicer people.

We went in the restaurant to have dinner. Our first visit in York! The staff showed us 2 tables to sit down, but didn't come with us to the table. No smile on his face, not nice and friendly, rather arrogant and in rush , even the restaurant was almost empty.Then, a staff person threw the menu on our table when he passed in hurry near our place????. This seemed to be rather rude gesture. We didn't feel well and didn't like the attitude of waiter. We decided to leave that restaurant , immediately. We walked outside . After 15 min we discovered Everest Gurkha Nepalese restaurant were we had a wonderful and delicious dinner with a very carefully, smiling and friendly staff.

Have been choosing to get takeaway from here for years now as the food is delicious and they are always so generous with their portion sizes. You get a lot of amazing food for the price. Clearly marked allergens on the menu and have never once had a reaction as someone who is gluten free (coeliac). I've only been to dine in once and the venue was okay, but I'd just really recommend their takeaway service. Excellent!Vegetarian options: Veggie options labelled and separate on menu. Can order lots of favourites as veggie option.Dietary restrictions: Clearly marked allergens on menu making it reassuring to order from here. Never had a reaction. As a coeliac I choose here over other places due to clear labelling

Probably the worst Indian meal I've ever eaten,I had Chucken Tikka madras,it was bland and watery with no spice,the chicken was chewy and dry.It reminded me of a microwave meal from Iceland,And to top it off was charged 70 quid for 1 starter and 2 mains ,the place was empty and now I know

The worst indian food I've ever had! Ordered a takeaway and asked for the food to be certain way. Soon as I opened the container it was seeping with oil. I ordered a lamb jalfrazi and I'm 100% saying this was beef not lamb many indian restaurants do this to keep cost low but obviously I could tell it was beef. I ate half a naan with this dish boy did I regret it I was woken up this morning with severe stomach cramps and diarrhoea. This place needs to be investigated by health officials! The toilets the kitchen need to be inspected ASAP. You are a disgrace to call yourself a indian resturant!

We decided to go in here for a meal after the gosht walk . We was shown to our table very quick on ordering drinks we was told they didn’t sell alcohol an was told we could go an buy a bottle off wine at the local shop . On arriving back to the restaurant we ordered our starter an was given poppadoms which was very nice the starter was lovely the curry also lovely . The staff was really pleasant we had a lovely time .
