Toby Inns naturally are geared up for carvery and if that's what you like then this is the place for you. If you want something a bit lighter the choices are somewhat limited. It was difficult to get the attention of the staff and we had to wait at times but the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. It's easy to get to if driving but we walked from the nearby York Caravan Park along a very busy road with no footpaths in places so beware. We did enjoy our meal, although we would have been happy with something lighter, and ended up enjoying the evening.

The toby carvery Hopgrove York cannot be made any better than it is
The welcome host, food and drinks were all good, the carvery was busy so had to queue for a while, I would probably come a bit later in the future to avoid this, but I was due at work myself at 2pm.
