A few friends had recommended this cafe, fabulous cream teas and sandwiches, brilliant staff so we were a little shocked on our first visit to come across a staff member that obviously didn’t want to work that day. We weren’t greeted nicely at all, just shouted across from behind counter ‘ have you got a reservation? We said we hadn’t so she replied we could sit at the table we were near. Menus bought over, no smiles. A table of two stood to pay their bill (only 3 tables in the shop being used) they were ignored and stood there waiting for a good 5 minutes. No communication from staff member to acknowledge they were there or that she wouldn’t be long. I didn’t like this atmosphere, wasn’t very pleasant so we got up and left before placing an order. We or the other customers were not made to feel welcome.

Drinks ok food average ( bacon sarnie ) staff miserable as sin , not a pleasantry or smile in site , despite no one else in the cafe. Certainly won’t bother going back and wont be recommending , now reading reviews seems I’m not the only one to comment on the staff

An amazing afternoon tea! We visited today for my Mum's 60th and were amazed at the detail that goes into the afternoon tea. We could not fault it. It really does have the 'wow factor!' Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

I honestly cannot fault our visit! ?We visited today for the first time since pre covid.. we were welcomed with a lovely welcoming atmosphere and happy, helpful staff! The food was incredible and very reasonably priced. We took our 87 year old extremely fussy grandma and she said she'd visit again and even took a pudding home!Delicious, exciting cakes, well priced, cosy, clean and welcoming, I couldn't ask for a better experience and cant wait to visit again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Poor experience, felt rushed and the staff were quite rude and seemed put out when asked a question. On top the owner was casually swearing in front of customers, which included our young daughter. Not a a great look. The food was average at best and the cakes were overpriced and mostly stale and hard, definitely not fresh that day. Could overlook the food as I’m sure on other days it is fresh and tasty, but the staff attitudes ruin it. Won’t be going back when other local businesses have much better customer service at more reasonable prices.

Rude and terrible customer service! We had been to Badby forest with my daughter who is 9 months old. Before travelling back home we wanted to stop for coffee and needed to get some hot water for my daughters bottle to feed her. We looked for local coffee shops and found one that was still open (Mrs B’s). However when we arrived we were told they were closing so they would not serve us (even though it was due to close at 3.30pm and it was 3.10pm). When I said could we atleast have some hot water for my babies bottle she said NO we’ve already cleaned the machine…. I said surely it won’t make it dirty just boiling water, we really need it? She said NO were closing. I said we’ve driven here specifically for this but she wasn’t interested…. She said “it says we shut at 3.30pm on the door” and we said “yes but it’s not 3.30pm yet?!”. I was really upset that someone could be so mean - I wouldn’t have cared if it was just a coffee for me but I needed to feed my daughter. I can’t ever imagine saying no to someone who needs to feed their child. Safe to say we will never return, and the older lady who works there needs a lesson in customer service.
