My partner and I came across this place totally by accident and what a wonderful find . Tucked away across from the Town Hall and owned by two wonderful Ladies we found the place both immaculate and welcoming . The Menu had a decent variety and was sensibly priced , the Food and the staff were both first class and we can pay it no greater compliment . We look forward to visiting the next time we are in the area

Popped in for 10’s tea, coffee and teacake to share as snack to keep us going. Surprised and fascinated to see the games cupboard and Friday games sessions. No tea cakes ☹️ but decided to ask for single toastie split into two. Nikki gave us a plate each with salad and half toastie!??. Wonderful surprise and delicious small treat with our drinks. Earl great tea good and my Americano perfect. We really felt looked after by Nikki and will definitely return to this nice atmosphere bistro.

We stayed in the loft apartment and visited the bistro several times. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend it.

It can be so hard to find places with good customer service, but this place takes customer service to the absolute next level. We called last minute to see if they could squeeze us in and we were given a lovely table, perfect for my parents, me, my 4 year old daughter and our little dog. First of all, the lady who greeted us was so warm and friendly. We sat right next to the games and the lady explained how we can use them, making my little girl very happy. She was extremely chatty and helpful, giving us time to decide and not batting an eyelid when I asked for some potentially awkward changes to my dish. When my daughter got tired she was offered somewhere to have a quiet moment, which made us feel so at ease and hugely helped us all to relax. The lady even grabbed us as we were walking up the road to bring us the drink my little girl had accidentally left behind. The food was lovely, generous portions and real food made with proper ingredients. The chai latte is clearly made with real ground spices - you can see the cinnamon in the glass. The Cajun chicken burger is a real treat! Absolutely fantastic atmosphere driven by lovely welcoming staff, lovely homemade food with real ingredients and a super cosy interior. Thank you for a really lovely lunch!

Myself and Liz use this place as much as we can and we love it , the food is always excellent and very friendly staff and very good service, we also have people stay with us in there Motorhomes and they use it and agree with us ability how good it is, Highly recommend Hummingbirds , well worth a try you will not be disappointed

Came across Hummingbirds by sheer fluke whilst having a walk with my wife. Amazing coffee, food & hospitality just what you need during these uncertain times. We always support independent when we can. The owners we very welcoming & all the food is freshly made on site. When I'm next in the area I will defiantly return.

We were very pleased with this restaurant. The food was really excellent, price affordable, and you couldn't fault the service in any way. They were genuinely nice, caring and thank you for the business. It was a genuine pleasure to find this place, however we almost didn't as tripadvisor states that it is open for takeaways only? I will say that I wish I had seen tables, menus and chairs sanitised as people left them in the current environment. And items shared such as menus, door handles and toilets. But don't get me wrong, the place is clean, friendly and worth a visit.

My favourite place to stop for coffee and cake or lunch, can bring the children, the dog and even the grannies. Wonderful food
During these unsettling times it was refreshing today to take a coffee and cake to park and social distance from my daughter who I have not seen in 8 weeks. The coffee was beautiful but the cake, well, it was the nicest carrot cake I have ever had. Individually cooked portion meant that the cake was moist and tasted delicious. Thank you to the ladies at the Hummingbird for all their efforts and calories at this time?

Food and service really very good as always. Just so people know, dogs allowed in ground floor area where people with limited mobility or little ones in pushchairs can access. One dog was quite yappy during our visit. We were seated upstairs as usual and had not heard dogs before. Had a nice chat with owner when we were leaving about people with allergies to animals. After all there is a responsibility to those with nut, gluten, lactose allergies so why not animals? She pointed out sign on door which was informative but quite small. However, I now know what to look out for elsewhere. I'm asthmatic, so is my sister and she also has excema and her grand daughter has both conditions too. She kindly explained that if I been sitting in the lower area with my friend, and a dog had come in, she would have asked if we minded moving unless we had started eating.

There is only one place to go in Brackley, whatever the occasion and this is it! There are restaurants that have a distinctive vibe and mouthwatering, delicious food that make them worth the effort. Then there are restaurants that are brilliant for a variety of reasons or situations, and are amazing at getting the job done. Thankfully Hummingbirds is both! From the VIP treatment (roll out the red carpet) from front of house to the scrumptious dishes (the Michelin Star must be coming soon!) the master chefs plate, you can’t afford not to pay this place a visit.

Regularly visit this great eatery for a meal (which always has vegetarian and vegan options) or just for tea, cake and a leisurely catch up with friends. Lovely, friendly service and great atmosphere.

Lovely bistro cafe with a friendly atmosphere. Love the hummingbird cake, too! Visited again this week and received the usual warm welcome, there is a good selection of food and the kids love the milkshakes. Good choice of food, including veggie options, and the food was delicious.
