The Saxon Crown surpassed all my expectations with its exceptional service, luxurious accommodations, and beautiful surroundings. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm and friendly smiles from the staff, who were attentive and always ready to assist with any request. The hotel itself exudes elegance and charm, with its stunning architecture and well-maintained grounds. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. I particularly loved the plush bedding and the attention to detail in the room's design. The on-site dining options at the Saxon Crown are truly outstanding. The restaurant offers a diverse menu, featuring both international and local cuisine, prepared with the freshest ingredients. Each dish I tried was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and accompanied by an excellent wine selection. The talented chefs at Saxon Crown truly know how to create culinary masterpieces. One of the highlights of my stay was the spa and wellness center. It provided a serene oasis where I could unwind and rejuvenate. The spa staff were incredibly skilled, delivering amazing massages and treatments that left me feeling pampered and renewed. The Saxon Crown's location is also worth noting. Situated in a picturesque area, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. It's the perfect retreat for those seeking a peaceful and tranquil escape from the busy city life.Lastly, I must commend the impeccable service at the Saxon Crown. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine warmth made me feel like a valued guest throughout my time at the hotel.Overall, I highly recommend the Saxon Crown for anyone who seeks a luxurious and memorable experience. Its impeccable service, beautiful setting, and attention to detail make it a standout destination that I can't wait to return to. We stayed just one night and we were very pleased with our room. Spacious, very clean, good facilities. Lovely ensuite bathroom, fabulous shower and bath, plenty of room. The bed, oh so comfy, ❤️The staff on reception were so helpful. We did have a comment about our breakfast which wasn't up to standard Warm bread was served not toast, and there was confusion by the waiting staff. However, the duty manager was very apologetic, and dealt with the situation very effectively.

Stayed at the hotel for an event close by.Very small reception and was crowded when we arrived. The rooms were ok (the room was not what I payed for on the website and the one we got was standard (complained, and was offered near enough the same room type!!)We were in the back area, which smelled of "weed" constantly with people smoking next too the doors etc.The service in the pub was OK, except our group was given wrong food, a garlic bread that would be classed as a deadly weapon in some countries as it was unbreakable. Glasses that was covered in lipstick or filthy multiple times, plus much more!!Wetherspoons pubs are usually ok, but this was just dire on so many levelsThe staff seem friendly though which was a plus.No hotel parking available. You have to pay to park on a public shopping complex car park down the road. So remember to factor the price in.Rooms: OK, and clean enoughSafety: Security pass doors.

Much larger hotel now with additional rooms added at reasonable cost - food good very quick table service- can be que at the bar during busy times- witherspoons table app impacts adversly on staff trying to serve bar customers - with staff appearing to focus on app not bar customer.Rooms: well appointed trendy newly decorated roomsNearby activities: Busy small town centre on door stepNoteworthy details: Pub located in a converted old coop department store

I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very nicely done; closer to Hilton than Premier Inn and there's a brilliant choice of cheap breakfasts. The room cleaning was very hit and miss, which was a shame.

Visited The Saxon Crown today with my partner in Corby for a bit of lunch and there were lots of seats available with clean tables. When we sat down we were able to browse the menu and then use a QR code to get access to book our meals and drinks. You can go to the bar to order or use the Wetherspoons app so it was nice that options are available plus the bar does accept both cash and card and the app accepts card only. You have to pay before you get the food or drinks.I ordered a Burrito Salad Bowl which had spicy rice, cheese, roasted peppers, courgette, onion, tortilla chips, guacamole and sliced chillis. I got an additional chicken breast to go with this. This was at the price of £8.62 including a soft drink too.We both went for the Monster Energy Ultra Rosa which came with a small glass filled with ice and it was very light in flavour which complimented the meals nicely.I felt my salad was nice and i enjoyed the meal however there were no tortilla chips and the guacamole contained coriander which I don't enjoy but it was tolerable. My partner got the Bangers and Mash which had three Lincolnshire sausages, peas, onion and red wine gravy. This was at the price of £8 but there was an afternoon deal meaning it got reduced to £6.99 and this included a soft drink. My partner enjoyed his meal but commented that the sausages were a little chewy but otherwise had enjoyed the meal.Overall we had a good experience here, there are multiple charging outlets throughout the restaurant and there is also free wifi.I do like the refill deal where you pay a small amount of money, at the moment it is £1.50 and you get a cup and you can go to the coffee machine and choose between Flat White, Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha, Espresso, Black Coffee, white coffee, hot chocolate or even Tetley tea. There were options of oat milk or semi-skimmed milk available and there was also decaffeinated tea and coffee.
