Service was poor and dismissive. Drinks where as expected. We had waffles which where basic and not worth the money. Sausage roll and pasty where both lukewarm when served and bland tasteless mush. Kids area was filthy, there's no real toys just broken tat, books are all broken other than a few hard backs. It's meant to be for small children but the staff don't stop 10-13 year olds walking in filthy footwear doing as they please, where smaller children are crawling potentially getting dog filth on there hands etc.I would just avoid it. We have been a few times hoping it would be better but it never is.

I spent the whole day at Kuni's today. The staff were fantastic, polite and efficient as they could be.Especially Emma and Oliver around 4pm when there was an increase on customers and just eat orders. They managed the situation calmly and politely. They are a credit to the company. However, the gentleman who I assume to be the manager who appeared during the busy period, only seemed to ridicule and critique the staff. In my opinion, he should have praised the staff for managing the demand. And perhaps feedback be given in private. Not in front of customers.

Don’t live locally so wanted to go there as I’ve heard so many good things about it, to find myself standing about 10 minutes with no one serving me and no recognition at all. Could have said ‘won’t be long and I’ll serve you’ but didn’t even get that… however the person behind me was willingly recognised and got spoken too by members of staff. All this happened about 12:10/12:15pm today and 3 people were on shift ??‍♀️ could’ve been more but I dunno tbh. Very disappointing when I’ve heard so many good things about this place, I just walked out in the end with no customer service by any of them… and no drink, which I initially went in for ??‍♀️

The young lad on the till was polite and efficient, I suspect he’s quite new. The lady making the coffee’s was clearly stressed and not coping with the amount of orders, which resulted in her being very short and rude to the poor lad, when he asked any sort of question. I felt very sorry for him! I have come across the lady in question before when visiting the shop. She completely ignored me standing, waiting to order, while she faffed around rearranging. A simple, “I will be with you in a minute”, would have gone a long way, and prevented me from walking out. It’s such a shame there are a couple of staff members that let the place down because the coffee and cakes are excellent.

My kids absolutely adore Kuni's! Great selection of deserts and sweet treats. If this existed when I was a kid I would of spent all day here playing games, reading comics, trading Pokémon cards etc

Kuni's offers a kid friendly coffee house with colourful decor and movie posters. Even a giant minion in the seating area. Comics and gifts for sale but it's the great coffee that sells the place. Try the Kuni with caramel a great blend. Staff are friendly, and the place does not operate like a conveyor belt like the star place or cost a.Chill and have a brew....

What a shame. Heard such good things that simply weren't there.Arrived late Saturday morning/early afternoon (11/02/23) with a 3yo and an infant. There were plenty of empty tables.Waited far, far too long for our order. Nearly 40 minutes for one 3 stack of pancakes, a waffle and one sausage roll. Unacceptable.Food was satisfactory. However, the pancakes were slightly undercooked, very pale.Do not come here thinking you're going to a comic book shop with a café, it's a café with some comics in the corner, an unorganised, messy, unloved selection of single issues awfully displayed. Cannot bear to see Funko Pops advertised as Comic Book merch, complete let down. Nearest decent (real) comic book shop would probably be Aylesbury's Dead Universe. The main problem, the glaring problem, was the absolute state of the place. It was filthy. Every surface was sticky, and the floor was covered in food and cutlery. When queuing you can see the work area behind the counter was also filthy and it literally stopped me from ordering more food.Staff were doing the absolute bare minimum in terms of customer service and work. Only ever saw them empty-handed looking bored apart from one poor lad being made to do all the lifting. I watched staff member after staff member walk through a filthy dining area over and over with no attempt to even begin to clean. We had to use our baby wipes to clean our own table! Absolutely disgusting!Saw one young lad carrying stuff the whole time I was there, and as I was leaving, an older member of staff was extremely patronising to him. It was very awkward. "I want this job done before you go home, please." In a very rude and passive aggressive tone in the middle of the place, in front of customers, really gross. She sounded like an angry mother, and came across as an awful misandrist. Poor lad kept his chin up and responded with respect, and, considering he was the only person I saw working, I'd say he deserved to go home early!Do not recommend unless willing to slum it. Only positives was the decor and the prices being slightly cheaper than expected.
