Unfortunately I have to say The Miller has gone downhill. We went on Mothers Day, expecting it to be busy, but after our visit I know why there were empty tables.Staff weren’t looking very happy, the young brunette girl who served us was quite rude actually!Carvery wasn’t very hot, not a massive selection of veg and beef was overcooked, although the roast potatoes were nice!Had to send 2 desserts back due to coming out incorrectly, but the apple crumble was nice. When issues were raised to the waiters they just brushed it off with attitude.Sorry to say we won’t be returning.

In winter it is very cold in back room, especially if there are few people sitting in it. It is difficult to book a table at the front where it is warm, tried a request twice but both times had to sit in the cold with my coat on. Best to visit in summer when it's warm. Friendly and well priced. The parsnips are heavenly. Pork crackling is great. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Lovely selection of wines. Choice of small, medium or large plate so can suit all appetites. Would be great to see lamb on the carvery more often.

The carvery was ok.however the beef was burnt to black. The selection of vegetables was good.Unfortunately the pastry on the apple pie was mushy and seemed raw. I won't be going back

Visited on a Sunday, carvery is the option for food, this was lovely altho we were all a little disappointed that you can only have 1 Yorkshire, a firm favourite in our house, no bottled cider either which was a shame. Great choice of meats and veg, well worth the price
Highly recommended, food and service are fantastic and staff are very friendly and

Food was cold and inedible, vegetables not cooked enough for my liking. They offered to microwave the food to heat it up but should have been hot in the first place.
