Sorry but the chips are not very good. I got a chips and cheese and the chips DO NOT taste like chip shop chips and the cheese was really not great quality. Very disappointed. Serving time was OK .

The positive is that I ordered for a collection and it was ready at the specified time.. that’s it.There is a “disclaimer” behind the till stating that due to a crop change the chips may taste different and have a different texture - this is obviously code for - you’ll be chewing on something that resembles an old piece of leather. They were gross.Fish was tasteless and the batter had all stuck to the paper where it hadn’t been drained of fat and had soaked through the paper. Mushy peas were again tasteless.Probably the worst chip shop food I’ve ever eaten at.

More expensive than any other chip shop I've been to but much worse quality aswell chips 4.50 not enough to feed 2 people and lack in taste curry sauce horrible and the sausages also had no taste I won't use again unfortunately I had to buy more food as all of us was starving

Very unwelcoming just like the food that I got served. I wouldn't feed it to my dogs. Never will I set foot in there again. Blooming horrible dry tasteless food.

Told I would have to wait 6 minutes for chips to be cooked and was told at least they will be fresh and hot. They were 13 minutes and neither fresh or hot by the time got home 1 mile away. They were not busy. Ordered pie and chips twice. When I got home I had 2 pies and 1 chips. Staff were more interested in gossip and make fun of the guys from the pizza part next door. No attention on what they were doing. After 5 years of using Avondales, I will not any longer. Over this time I feel food quality and service has dropped considerably

We had the blue cheese burger which was very tasty and big chicken nuggets and chips kids meal which was better than McDonald's also brilliant curry sauce but the cod we had was small and the batter was stodgy and the batterd sausage was inedible the batter was well over done and the sausage was grey ??
