The Palmichael is such a gem of a restaurant. I’ve been on a few occasions, and I’m never disappointed. The food is fantastic, for my main I had lamb with shallot puree and a red wine jus. The lamb was tender and the sweetness of the shallots paired so well with the richness and depth of the jus. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, and the service is good. It will cost around £50-£60 per person for three courses, but it’s worth it if it’s within your budget.

What a lovely 1940s themed cafe. We enjoyed a delightful Churchill afternoon tea here. There are two different types on offer. Ours included scones with jam and cream, corned beef sandwiches, mini Yorkshire puddings with pigs in blankets, minimprok pie with pickled onion, crisps and pickle. We had tea with ours. The tea is amazing! No seriously, it was so good we asked which brand it was. It's sprecially bought in and was really delicious. The staff are friendly and polite. I wish I had known about this place when my parents were alive; it would be the perfect place to take my mum (who had Alzheimer's), it would have bought back many memories for her. I highly recommend this lovely unique cafe.

This was our first time at the restaurant and we booked it for a birthday celebration. We were greeted by a friendly lady. The service was great and we were told about the offers of buy one get one free, mix and match. Food was delicious and everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be back.

Amazing find 1 hour outside Birmingham. We walked through pub to Restaurant and all looked well maintained and welcoming. The restaurant was particularly well laid out and felt special and homely all at once. The service was really good and we overheard the couple behind talking with the waiter about their special dietary needs and he was helpful, pointing out dishes they could have safely. Really cannot fault the experience. Will go again in the future I am sure.

What a great find. We came across Cafe Oak by chance, and loved it!
It’s a lovely place.
The staff are so friendly and genuine, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is welcoming and cheerful.
There’s even a sharing table, which is a great idea. If there are spare chairs, you can sit there and chat, or just do your own thing, no pressure.
I would definitely recommend calling in here, it’s a favourite for us now.

Absolutely amazing. We had the quessadillas, nachos and hot wings for starters - all amazing, but the hot wings were crispy (not what I expected but it was delicious nonetheless). For mains we had fajitas and oh my god were they delicious. Now I am jealous we don’t have this restaurant near where we live in Yorkshire. How much are houses around Kettering? ? 100% will come again if we’re in this part of the country. Love this place.

Visited on a Wednesday night, it was very quiet but then everywhere is on a Wednesday. Barstaff very welcoming, good range of beers and lagers. Didn't have any food but I saw that it was served but I didn't hours. The lounge was very nicely decorated with comfortable seats. Outdoors looked like a lot of time had been spent on it, lots of benches, some under cover some on a well tended raised, grassed area. I imagine this would be a great place to visit on a warm summer's day or evening. I will certainly be visiting again.

We got there when it opened so lots of room to sit without a reservation.
The naan bread is a single person serving, 2 person if you are being conservative.
I ordered butter chicken and it was very nice.
I don't think they're is parking specific for here, but there is a small serving car park close by.
The food was nice and reasonable price, would definitely go again

Had a takeaway from here and food was beautiful! A group of us ordered a mix of pasta and pizza and arrived hot and ready. Pizza was cooked perfectly and no grease at all. Pasta was also gorgeous. No complaints whatsoever. Even the picky eater cleared her plate! Hidden gem and we will definitely be ordering again!

Since working away in Corby I have been repeatedly coming back to this restaurant.
Being from the West Midlands I have a very high standard when it comes to Indian food / curries and I can comfortably say the Royal Bengal outclasses all of them.
The lads look after me well and even remember my order when I’ve not been in for a few weeks!

Food is outrageous. Every dish is packed full of flavour and spiced to perfection.
I would highly recommend trying the meal deal and letting the staff pick your food.
Cool way to try new stuff and can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

It was our first time eating Indian cuisine and the staff there were really helpful in explaining each kind of food and having methods to gauge our spice tolerance and other preferences. They also let us know that they could make a vegetarian variant of any dish we were interested in and I really appreciate the amount of care that was put into our experience! Definitely recommend visiting and trying the food yourself!

Very welcoming upon arrival. Pleasantly surprised how much space around the table so didn't feel squashed in.
Lots of choices on the menu so it took a while for my party to decide what I have and asked the waiter for more time twice which was no trouble to him at all, he was friendly and helpful.
Once we had ordered the food came out quite quickly even though the restaurant was busy.
The starters were very tasty and lots of unusual things to choose from.
The main courses were wonderful a true treat for the tastebuds.
We waited for around 30 minutes before ordering desserts and the wait was no problem at all for our super patient waiter.
With the diversity of the menu it is definitely a place I will return to so I can try lots of different things.

The Dukes is a welcoming, rare traditional style, family and dog friendly, food and drink establishment with a large garden and restaurant. We're in the area for a week so after having had their carvery on Sunday we decided to return.
Tuesday evening, relatively busy, friendly pub offering a varied menu with additional specials board. Two of us sat out In the garden with the dog. Had a very enjoyable meal of steak pie and seafood platter. Chips were exceptional. Pudding; I had the caramel apple pie with custard special and my partner the Knickerbocker glory (we're old school) over-all very good value for money. The staff were very polite, efficient and customer focused. Would highly recommend The Chiff Chaff real ale.

Called in on a walk about , the first time in Kettering, we like traditional pubs and being an ex landlord I'm always intrigued by just off the town center pubs.
And the Alexandra arms was an absolute gem to find, a fresh barrel of porter had just been put on and was proffered by the landlord, it was a really nice pint, after one drink we moved on BUT only for one somewhere else before returning because the feeling of warmth and freindliness and a good pint was to hard to resist, we spent the rest of the night there in great company and left feeling like we had become a pert of the regular set.
