Disappointing and no where near what it used to be. I recently moved back to the kettering area after years aways and whilst I knew Frankie and Benny’s as a chain was not what it used to be when they first opened in the UK. It’s quite sad how far they have fallen to become an overpriced weatherspoons type place for food. Firstly the food was all stone cold, some undercooked and the chips and onion rings felt like they were cooked in cold or bad oil as they were just not crispy at all. If the food was cooked right I think this would be a an ok place but I do think they overcharge for what they deliver in way of quality. As a kid I remember the big sticks of onion rings and amazing burgers, pizzas and pasta. Where pasta sauces still seem good, I can’t rate the pizza bases at all. The pizza was flash cooked too which didn’t help. Although the waiting staff were friendly they didn’t really give us much time and it took ages to get the bill even thought the place was not busy at all. I love the decor and lot of nostalgia for me although it does need upgrading in places e.g. toilets, that being said I do love the vibe of the restaurant itself and the way setup with loads of booths.

It's been many years since I last visited F & B's so I thought I'd try it once more. It was a huge disappointment! The food was terrible. I had a bruschetta starter which consisted of 2 small chunks of bread with a smattering of tomato on top; unlike any bruschetta I've ever had before and not good at all. Our Pasta Pomodoro was so oily, literally swimming in grease. The Vegan burger was a joke; an inflated bun with a couple of strips of iceberg, a tiny burger and some sort of mush on top of that then there were fries that were cooked from frozen and hadn't separated property in the cooking process because they were still stuck together. There was no further garnish. And they had the audacity to charge £33 for that! No wonder the place was virtually empty. I can confirm that I will never be returning. A massive shame for what used to be a once great food chain. Get back to basics guys. Get back to what you once we're.

We took our students, who are all adults with learning disabilities, for lunch. There were 38 of us so we pre-booked from the lunch menu. They were amazing. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, they interacted with our students, they were efficient at brining the food out, the food was great and their customer service excellent. They made what could have been quite a stressful experience an absolute pleasure.
Great place to visit. We visited for father's day and the food was superb. We were seated quickly and drinks arrived soon after.Food was ordered and the service was very quick and the food hot and delicious. The server, Paul was very attentive and courteous and was a credit to the restaurant.

New Look: 5Food: 5Drinks: 5Wonderful place to visit if willing to eat out. Shame most of them have closed now though. Popular party restaurant too though so expect to hear a birthday song whilst you’re in there but overall great service, warm and tasty food and best desserts ever 5/5 for this place can’t wait for another meal there in the near future
