I visited The Dukes Arms from America last year in October. I tried the Hunter's Chicken (it was my first time) and it was absolutely delicious. The service was great! The decor was charming in my opinion with lots to see.

Stopped in Woodford for a wander and drink. The Dukes looked interesting, and had parking so an easy pick! An intimate music festival that they apparently hold annually was underway. It looked like it was going to be a good weekend. The only downside was wine in plastic glasses.

A group of senior citizens who lunch out together visited this pub to enjoy their Christmas menu yesterday.m my wife and I had the traditional Christmas turkey and all the trimmings and it was excellent, my slight criticism is that it was covered in gravy and it would have been better to have it served separately to allow people to choose the amount they have. The service was excellent and the meal was good value.

Our first visit to this community pub was hugely enjoyable. It's a free house with a great selection of draught beers and a selection of main dishes for £8.50 at lunchtime. We shared a whitebait starter, which was excellent, and both had the homemade fish pie, which was fantastic. In addition, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning.

A group of us, mainly senior citizens, visited this pub to take advantage of there meal offers which consists of a good number of main courses for £8.50. I chose the ' roast of the day ' which happened to be turkey breast with roast and creamed potato, and mixed vegetables and this was excellent. With a pint of beer and a couple of glasses of wine the meal was excellent and good value. We were well cared for by the staff of the pub and are likely to return soon.

Fabulous husband had mixed grill huge real value for money if a meat eater\\nAnd I had a veggie option mozzarella stick and haloumi sticks and chips in a basket loads of choice fantastic food,great choice, amazing value real gem A1++++++++

A very cosy and traditional country pub, visited for a private party, the buffet food was very good, a wide selection and was very tasty. The inside is very comfortable with amble tables and chairs, friendly and polite staff. At the rear is very well thought out beer garden or labyrinth with covered areas, a woodburner, plenty of tables and chairs and even a childrens play area, would definitely visit again ?

Nice village pub.. Looking to eat me and my girl... but they were fully booked lunch time so advisable to book...Few people eating so I gather the food must be OK. .. Will book next time and check it out . Then update review ..The building itself looks like it could do with some money spending on it so the owner of the building needs to put his hand in his pocket and tidy it up a bit before it gets beyond repair. ..Other than that it nice to see a village pub that appears to be doing well. Looks like there is regular entertainment. .Fantastic ..

My wife and I go there regularly for a meal. The quality of the food is excellent, the amount is more than enough and the price is reasonable. What with a good selection of ales and pleasant staff what more could you ask for !
