Came here for Sunday roast and was as good as had been told, nice staff and obviously a great kitchen team. Every thing was spotless. Definitely coming back when next in the area...Parking: Large car park at rear plus plenty of room on local streets. A few local 'selfish' parkers I noticed parked away from the kerb to make access into the village awkward...we had to fold our mirrors to get past 2 cars by the church!

Very nicely decorated, the staff was quick and very accommodating. The food was of very good quality and also tasted very tasty. I would like to come by again when I get the chance.Parking: There are around 10 - 12 free parking spaces in the pub's courtyard and you can also park for free on the street in front of the pub.

Amazing food. Not the usual 'pub classics'. Nice draft ales on tap too but a decent selection of wines for the non-beer

Booked a late slot for a Sunday dinner for 2. Staff were happy to squeeze us in for last bookings 17:30.The food was great quality and cooked perfectly for my preference. The staff were friendly and service was great. I would definitely recommend dining here to others.

Warm welcome, friendly service. Good range of food options, reasonably priced including an early bird limited menu range from 17.30 to 19.00 Weds through Friday.

Gluten Free heaven! Glad we found this place, it makes life easy when you have to be careful about eating gluten. Came here with a Coeliac relative who was impressed.

Looked for a Sunday lunch on way back home from Wales along the A14 road and found this pub on tripadvisor. They fitted us in and served up a lovely Roast beef for my wife and I and a delicious side of cauliflower cheese.Lovely little pub and great service from the team behind the bar. Highly recommended if you’re in the area??

The pub and restaurant are nicely decorated, the staff attentive and welcoming however we came for a family meal and the food was overpriced and distinctly average at best. For example my starter was described as..... " Pan fried King Prawns, white wine, garlic and chilli butter and crusty bread".....what I actually got was 4 king prawns in a sweet chilli dipping sauce straight out of a bottle! Despite ordering a Sirloin Steak rare I'm 99% certain I was served a Rib Eye steak .....the shape was wrong for a sirloin steak and the marbling throughout the meat was reminiscent of Rib eye....plus it was overcooked. £8 for my king prawn starter and £29 for a steak is at the higher end for pub food in my opinion ....I didn't think the quality was reflected in the price.....looking back I was disappointed. My wife had Sea Bass ...which again was overcooked. I'm actually surprised as the Wheatsheaf is now under the same ownership as the Woolpack at Islip ( our usual restaurant of choice) and the food there is exceptional in comparison. Maybe we were just unlucky last night and had a poor meal, however I'm not risking a repeat visit.

Had lunch today and both myself and my partner had the chicken Kiev and it was absolutely fantastic, my partner said it was the best she's ever had. Great pub and great food!!!
