The Britannia pub is a lovely place to spend the evening after work by the river enjoying a drink and the lovely food. Paula B the food runner was amazing and her service was second to none. Would definitely recommend and I will be coming back 10/10

Lovely pub right on the river perfect for those sunny days if ever the sun comes ! If not plenty of seats inside to enjoy the pub atmosphere. Well worth a visit!

Lucky to get 3 stars really as they didn't want our custom. We were in the bar at 5pm and decided we wanted to eat and asked if we could have a table at 5.45, they said no despite hardly any tables being used. Another customer overheard and said to us same thing happened to them and to look online as loads of availability and they can't refuse then. So I booked a table for 5.45 online and at that time presented ourselves at the desk, said we had a reservation and was shown to our table. During the full duration of our meal only a small fraction of tables were being used. Why didn't you want our custom, come on Holly sort it out. Incidentally I work more or less opposite the pub and on 3 occasions my boss phoned up to make a booking for our team and each time told they couldn't accommodate us. Also, why put a big blackboard out saying outside bar open on Saturdays noon to 9pm, been there 3 times now on a Saturday afternoon and its not been open once. I used to work with you Holly in town and am surprised about the lack of value shown to your customers. PS, service only marked as 2 stars as 2 meals were delivered and 5 mins passed when I then had to ask for my meal, they said only 2 meals on ticket, off they went and few minutes later miraculously found my missing meal. On a plus, the food was very nice!

Brought my dad out for father's days. Had table for 6, I had 3 courses and eventually had 4 rounds of drinks. Had to fetch 2 orders of drinks, had to wait on average 1 hour 30 mins between finishing one course and getting the next. When asked what delay was, the nine servers couldn't cope with five to seven similar orders at ullllllllllllllllll time. As much as the value for money was there, the time it takes to serve will mean it will not be given a second chance. Also was bad case of flys around the tables. Just shockingly poor.

Always come here as it’s a really nice place to go however, we turned up as a walk in on a Sunday around 11am there was about 4/5 tables in the restaurant of families so wouldn’t say busy at all. We asked if we could take a seat outside which was empty or there were plenty of tables within the pub to, but we got sent away as they couldn’t accommodate even though there was plenty of tables and got turned away as they weren’t taking walk ins. Felt really let down and really bad service.

Came for a meal with my mum tonight which was lovely. The food was really tasty and great quality. Mo, our waiter was amazing. The speed of the restaurant itself was very slow and we waited a long time for our food, but he made sure our drinks were topped up and got us constant food updates which made up for the wait.
