Deep, flavoursome, hearty food. I had the Trini curry Chicken and festivals (dumplings). Cocktails were made quickly and superbly by Mona. Don made our group dining experience enjoyable and relaxed, making superb recommendations, being friendly, warm and welcoming. Cannot recommend these two enough! Make sure you come and see them.

Nuovo Restaurant

A lovely place to visit and tucked away from the rush and bustle of the town centre. Good food and friendly attentive staff with Italian dishes served tapas style. Not sure about the 70’s disco soundtrack and I suspect the owner has a rather idiosyncratic musical taste!

The food here is outstanding, but more importantly, the service here is so friendly, which is such a refreshing change these days. It is a BYO, and there is a small supermarket nevt door which has a fantastic range of Polish beers. Highly recommended !

The Red Lion

Had a meal here on a Friday evening.Service was fairly slow however they were fairly busy and I prefer that to being rushed and out of a place in an hour.The food we had was great. It’s not often I go somewhere and love all three courses. I had pumpkin and sage ravioli for start which was very nice, Thai green curry for main which was fantastic - nice and spicy and lots of chopped chilli which is how I like it, and coffee and sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was delicious. Very light.My husband very much enjoyed his steak.Look forward to going back there again sometime.

Excellent food, had a chicken dansak and the chicken was so tender and moist. Service was great in family run restaurant. BYOB so stop at Morrisons before and save yourself pennies on restaurant alcohol!! Highly

Pamukkale Turkish restaurant

Me and my family recently dined at a delightful Pamukkale Turkish restaurant, and the experience was truly exceptional. The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Turkish dishes, and the flavors were nothing short of spectacular. Also, big thank you for the waiter Antonio his professionalism, attentiveness, and friendly attitude enhanced our evening, and we would gladly return to the restaurant and hope to be served by him again. We highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for an authentic Turkish dining experience.

Fox & Hounds Lower Harleston

Good service, excellent meal with and wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Sharing baked camembert a real hit, mains beutifully presented and cooked to perfection. The chocolate bomb dessert was wonderful and my daughter filmed the hot sauce being poured and the whole thing melting. Lovely family evening

Visited The Old Crown with 17 family and friends for lunch. The service was excellent as was the food. All those present were very satisfied with the whole experience. Well done Andy and your team for serving us so warmly.

We enjoyed our lunchtime visit. The food was lovely, dishes were a good size, we could not fault it.Service was friendly but a little slow, despite it not being very busy, and it took a while to get drink, the bill etc.

We were expected and warmly welcomed. We had asked for a quiet table and were were given one. The service throughout was of a high standard. The menu was extensive and every dish cooked to perfection. We passed an appreciation message to the cook. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and will certainly come again.

Went in with my family last Saturday for a bite to eat and a pint. Michelle and team warmly greeted us and furnished us with menus. My wife mentioned that our son was sleepy and she offered a sofa area where he could lay down. We accepted and he passed out nearly immediately. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The pub itself is a gorgeous place which while updated and fresh looking still retains that old country pub charm. Knightley Arms

My husband and I are on a canal boat holiday and today he slipped and hurt his back quite badly on the side of the boat. He has been in agony all day. I walked into Yelvertoft hoping to find a shop where I could buy Ibuprofen and whisky but the village shop has closed down and the little butchers-come-general store was closed. I went into the Knightley Arms and explained my plight. There were 3 locals enjoying a drink and a lady working behind the bar. I was overwhelmed by their kindness! One of the locals (a driving instructor) went out to his car and gave me some Ibuprofen he always has readily available and the bar lady emptied a bottle of water, which was a sellable item, and put some whisky into it for me to take back to the boat. Everyone was very concerned for my husband and again, I can’t say how lovely it was to receive such kindness. My husband is now enjoying the whisky, which will hopefully help to work as an anaesthetic overnight! Thank you to the kind people of Yelvertoft. We will never forget you and hope that one day we can come and enjoy a meal in your lovely pub. With much thanks

Excellent selection and variety.We love fish and enjoyed sea bass and monk fish , both excellent. Open table menu on confirmation was inaccurate,but pleased on our visit.

Booked to go for a birthday family dinner. It’s definitely somewhere I will try again. When we booked, there was another really big party there, the restaurant realistically should have been booked out as it was a big party with a lot of children, that is the only reason I’m giving it a 3 for atmosphere, when I go back, this will I’m hopeful, change. However, service was great, the staff was really lovely, it’s a nice place and can see it does good brunches. The food was really good, we got the sharing board as a starter and main wise, we each had a different one, the one thing we did find was that the food was a little cold. The duck was cooked really well (tho also a little cold unfortunately) and maybe a little too salty but was still really enjoyable. I will definitely try this place out again, they also do jazz evenings which I can imagine are fun!

We came for the bottomless supper club and had a great time! Very quickly seated and given drinks and food. Alanis was serving us and was very attentive, checking very often if we needed drinks top ups. Manager was great too checking if we were cold as we were sat by the door. Very friendly service!

Only person to book a table, but they put us in a dark corner-so we moved to a window seat which was much more pleasant. Surf and turf steak a bit chewy, but everyting else fine.ordered a Brownie desert, which after 20 mins hadnt arrived. Ask young lady and she said she forgot! Seem to be missing smarties fudge etc.? Good value for money and nice to have a different meal to the usual-will come again.Vegetarian options: A few choices for both starter and main

Out of the blue we wanted to eat out but somewhere different. We pulled up in the carpark to find an old world building. We didn't book but a a table was cleared for up in the old inglenook. We had some lovely waitresses and bar maids who made us feel welcome. The food choice was large and vegetarian option was really good for my partner. The food was really nice and hot when it got to the table. The bill was presented and I was expecting it to be a lot more. Definitely a place to go again.Vegetarian options: Great choice, afterwards there was a classic carshow which was well worth staying an extra 2 hours for.

What a fantastic experience. Came for lunch and have been blown away. The food was delicious and the service from the young lady at the bar was second to none.I will absolutely visit here again and recommend to anyone who will listen ☺️

Excellent choice of home-brewed beer, some kind of reclaimed/ vintage clothing thing going, fantastic Soul DJ on a Saturday afternoon. Perfect place to sit and enjoy a perfect beer. Will be back.

Delightful evening enjoying The Taster Menu accompanied with matching wines to each course. Every single course was amazing, with hidden delights awakening our taste buds. It was the first night of a new menu and I recommend all to not hesitate and experience this wonderful menu along with superb service.

Bombay Palace Restaurant

We had chicken tikka jawfrezi and chicken biriani. Both dishes were delicious. Service was great, thanks to Max, our waiter. Highly recommend to anyone with a desire for some reasonably priced, good quality Indian food.

Never been in before but met friend for a lunchtime drink. Bar was well appointed and quiet, perfect for a chat. Restaurant looked inviting as did menu, would certainly return for a meal.

A bit busy for just 2 barppl but they managed. We came in after a Genfestshow at the Derngate theater for an afterparty with cast and crew.Had dinner later on and it was fabulous, great salad and fresh lasagne, the rest of my group also loved their freshly made pizzas .

Ecton One

Just Eat delivery and my first take-away from Ecton One. Very impressed by the quality, quantity and taste of the food. Stuck with a Chicken Tikka Massala, Saag Aloo, Peshwari Naan and meta samosa’s. All were fantastic, hot and tasty. Rounded off with the complimentary popadoms, onions, salad and sauce. Will definitely be trying something else on the menu and maybe pop in next time. Thank you ?

I stopped to buy an egg and mayo sandwich meal deal for my lunch and I also bought hot cross buns and daffodils for my Mum and some reduced cream cakes for a treat.There's often reduced bargains here (it's an M&S food).The shop and forecourt are always clean and tidy and the staff are friendly.

Always come here to grab some petrol for my car as its usually the cheapest station to go to still go here and since I passed which was over a year now I've come here for petrol each time, when I walk in always get hello used to come here often when I went to TBH to grab a muffin and one of the staff always knows I get it everytime, Luci is very nice too majority of there staff gives a warm smile is well however do have 2 issues. 1. Cars parked in the petrol bays & Air Bays preventing people from getting fuel and air for there vehicles or there messing around 2. Space between the pumps are small as the vehicles are getting bigger by the year and some struggle so it is worth to look into renovating the pumps a little more space however overall nice security guards too. We did visit at a very busy time, the tables were not the cleanest I’ve seen and both ourselves and another lady had to return to the counter as items were missing from the order. I did forget to make mine a large meal as we’d ordered at the counter and not the self serve machine. It was a shame the person taking my order never asked what size. The food tasted as expected, the queue never really died down, you feel the premises are too small to cope with the footfall.

Starbucks Coffee

I drink at a lot of Starbucks around the country however this branch is by far the best and I've been coming here since it opened. Staff are always helpful and friendly- any delays are addressed and the drinks are always made spot on (the only store I've found who make their PSLs perfect every time!).I've never caught her name but one of the management staff (with the short black hair) always goes out of her way to make you feel valued as a customer, recommends great complimentary food items, and her general customer service skills are exceptional.I know people may complain about the cups left around on tables, but this is a busy store in the area and having sat in the store for hours upon hours, staff do bus tables when they get a free moment. It also comes down to common courtesy and respect of customers to not leave the place a state.Can't fault this store one bit, thank you so much!

What can I say it's a Maccies. Drive through can get busy and I see people getting confused over the fact that it's 24hr opening but only the drive thru. The actually store itself closes at 10pm.The people see delivery drivers using side door and assume if they slip in that door they will get served..... they won't.I think it loses trade by not staying open a bit later. I've seen groups of people leave the cinema and head to the doors only to walk away as they are not in vehicles.

Nice pub! The locals are a little bit clicky but theres a nice open fire in the snug and a pool table round the other end of the main bar area. Will absolutely go again sometime.

A good English pub with a typical village pub atmosphere, the beer is good, especially the Guiness, plenty of choice and served with a smile and great banter. Very much a local clientele but in no way are visitors excluded. We did not eat here but the food looked good, though the choice was quite basic. If locals eat there it must be OK.

Absolutely delicious food here, couldn't fault the meal we had. Just tried it for the first time last night and we'll definitely return! Good value as well.

Amazing service great food staff was very attentive from when we arrived till the time we left. The food was fresh and delicious well prepared. If your in Northampton area stop in if you enjoy Chinese it is worth every penny price is fair for the amount of food and quality.

Been looking for a good Indian since the star of India closed down, have tried a few but all no good until I found this place. King prawn jalfrazi is amazing. Been here twice now and won’t use anywhere else . ??

Without a doubt the best takeaway in town across all cuisines. The team at Kingsthorpe are just built different. They also arrive early or on time with pizza piping hot. Dominos look like a Mickey mouse joint compared to Papa John's.

Overall can't beat Costa Coffee at any branch. Coffee is always hot and good taste and everything else is a bonus.The main woman who serves is extremely pleasant and happy 5*The shop is situated on a area which is good for people watching very entertaining.

The best buffet restaurant I've been to. It's a long time favourite of mine. I've been coming here for years, the food is delicious, so fresh and a lot of choice. The staff are very welcoming and polite. I just love this place so much. Always book a table as it's busy!

Typical Northampton Kebab shop, friendly staff and good "end of the night" food. Recomend chicken donner, spicy mushrooms, Hummus and flatbread and chips cheese and gravy.Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options, but they are available.Kid-friendliness: Daytime ok, but would avoid taking children during evening hours.Parking: Parking to the rear, local council pay and display. You may find a limited number of free parking spaces just off York Road.

As this is in the town centre, it is more crowded and busy. Staff doing best. But Mcdonald's, away from the town centre, is a little better and more relaxed than this place. All because this is in the town centre.

Granny's Cafe

We have used this cafe on our journey from London to North Wales quite a few times now. The best cafe we have been to. Food is hearty and well presented. Staff are welcoming and friendly as are the locals who regularly have breakfast there. We feel like we are all old friends. Superb!

Dreams Coffee Lounge

Very nice and cozy place. Staff super nice and friendly. Very inviting atmosphere. Coffee was quite nice. Food was little bit underwhelming in presentation, taste was just ok. Definitely could hear microwave after order so it says a lot about preparation process. Overall can recommend. Would come again for nice cup of coffee.

Was staying over with work and came across this place on a Tuesday night.... What a find. Bandaoke is fantastic, and a really friendly feel good atmosphere. ( And I won a free meal, which I've had tonight ) the food is just as good as the entertainment. If ever you are in Northampton I would highly recommend this place for a great night. Excellent venue for gigs. Large, separate space at the back of the pub with good sound and lighting and its own bar. Outside space a really good size - must be great in the summer!

The Ladz Northampton

The foods nice, chicken tastes great, staff are lovely and attentive. My only gripe is that the grilled vegetables are watery, indicating they are heated from the fridge or freezer, so I just wouldn’t order the veg! Else nice place to eat. Kids are happy too!

The Old Grocery Espresso Bar

You must come here and have one of their home made sausage rolls. It will not disappoint and it’s the best I’ve had! The coffees are also perfect using locally roasted coffee beans but the service is really where they shine.

Food is DELICIOUS. I haven't eaten better kebab since I left Poland and came to UK. Even better then Kurdish Shawarma although prices are a bit high. But for that good food from time to time i recomend to any kebab lovers like meKid-friendliness: Staff and environment child friendly.Parking: Parking is a minus. The Optimist

Managed to get a table big enough to accommodate a party of 8 people. Ordered via the app but waited more than 20 mins for our drinks as the order had gone to the kitchen only but had not been picked up by the bar so I had to chase this up. However there was no additional delay to food. We were sat away from main bar area but there was music and a good vibe to the place. (Originally thought it was live music from where we we sat but have been corrected lol). Hearty food and good kids selection too.

Food took a while but it was busy we didn't mind the wait as was chatting away anyway, when food arrived although a long wait everything was piping hot and delicious, way worth the money.
