Do a fantastic range of, primarily, cooked breakfasts. The Weedon Ripper is massive. Unlike some venues, the breakfast isn't at all greasy, except the fried bread, which is optional anyway. They offer take away boxes for when you have ordered more than you can eat. Polite staff. The place is quite small and can get busy. Service can seem slow because the food is cooked to order. Best to book in advance for large group sizes.

Incredible food, service and venue! Nuovo hosted our Christmas party two days ago and this restaurant did not disappoint. The cocktails and wine selections were fantastic. We had a tapas style menu, with portion sizes and choices of dishes were amazing! Every single dish was delicious. A huge kudos to the waiters and Stuart who have created an Italian gem in Northampton. Thank you.

Had a wonderful dining experience! I ordered the Yakhni Chicken Biryani and it was absolutely amazing. Being from Karachi, Pakistan, I’m very particular about biryani and rarely approve of any, but this place completely changed my mind. It was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and one of the best biryanis I’ve had outside Pakistan.
I also tried the Butter Chicken Pasta, which was delicious, creamy, and had a lovely desi touch that made it unique. The Mitty Coconut Mocktail was refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly.
I’m deducting one star for the Pistachio Kunafa. Having tasted authentic kunafas before, I found this one below average and not quite up to the same standard as the rest of the food.
The service was excellent, the staff were attentive, and the ambience was perfect. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely a place I’d visit again!

As a family, we visited for the Sunday Roast and we were not disappointed. Our meals were beautifully presented, portion sizes were ample and tasted superb. If you have room for dessert or a cheese board afterwards …be warned they are large!!\nThe menu also offered vegan and vegetarian options and those who are gluten free were also catered for. Meals are reasonably priced as well.\nThe Lamplighter atmosphere was warm and welcoming; staff were friendly, polite and attentive. We shall definitely visit again, hopefully soon.

We had an absolutely fantastic visit to The Hopping Hare in Northampton. From the moment we arrived it was clear what a lovely venue it is – warm, welcoming and with a really relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable straight away.

The drinks selection is excellent, with a great range of wines, beers and cocktails, so there is something for everyone whether you fancy a casual drink or something a little more special.

The roast dinners were honestly out of this world. There was a great choice of roast meats including lamb, pork, chicken and beef, all cooked beautifully. The quality really stood out, and the generous selection of vegetables and sides made the meal feel like a proper Sunday feast.

It was also brilliant to see such a good range of gluten-free options, which makes dining out much easier for those with dietary requirements.

And the desserts… absolutely heavenly. The perfect way to finish an already fantastic meal.

What really elevated the experience though was the staff. They were incredibly proactive and attentive throughout, making sure everything was perfect and creating a genuinely enjoyable dining experience from start to finish.

We’ll definitely be returning – highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic roast in Northampton!

10/10 meal at Sorrentino Restaurant last night. Butter garlic prawns were unreal and the creamy mushroom pasta was rich, comforting, and full of flavour.

Great service, lovely atmosphere, and everything came out spot on. Easily one of the best Italian restaurants in Northampton, if not the best! Will definitely be back.

I recently picked up this cake for an event, and it was an absolute hit! The sponge was incredibly moist, and the frosting was perfectly balanced—rich without being overwhelmingly sweet. The presentation was beautiful and neat. The staff at the shop were also super helpful and made sure it was boxed up safely for transport. I will definitely be ordering from here again

We had booked this after reading the reviews and were not disappointed! We had such a warm welcome and the staff were so friendly and efficient. It got busy and the atmosphere was lovely - as if we had been transported to the Med!\nThe menu was varied, ranging from meatballs, fish, prawns, pizza, steak, risotto, pasta and everything was beautifully cooked and presented.\nThe wine list was also good, and not too pricy.\nThe tiramisu, creme caramel and chocolate fondant were delicious.\nHighly recommend.

My brother and I popped in here this morning on a whime. Staff were very friendly and sat us right away. Its a lovly little cafe, offering a lot of items. We both had a large bacon roll which was either 3.50 or 4.50. Big soft bap and alot of bacon inside. Bacon was cooked how i like it, with a nice bit of crisp to give texture but not over done. Was cooked fresh and brought to the table. We both then had a glass of fresh orange juice, which was smooth. [Im not a fan of bits in it]. I would recomennd and likly to return as well.

Well we were recommended by our next door neighbour in Booth Park, as a world record holder for chilli eating I would normally choose a Vindaloo or Phall but I didnt fancy spicy food tonight so I opted for Chicken Shaktora a blend of lemon and fragrant spices and I ordered the Special Rice and I can tell you that every single mouthful was a taste explosion, it was so nice to have an Indian meal without burning my mouth to pieces and actually tasting every single mouthful.
My wife opted for A Butter chicken with Garlic Fried rice and we had a garlic Naan and Peshwari Naan, my wife said that the chicken was so tender that she didnt even need to use her knife through out the meal.
We can clearly say that this is the best Indian food we've tasted in a long time and we've had Indian food all over the UK, being new to Northampton Aladdins Balti is our new favourite and we will be returning customers !!!
