Heavenly Desserts Northampton

It's always nice to go here for some dessert even if it's about half an hour from our place it's always worth it. The drive there is nice and smooth usually, but it has been a little difficult this time because of roadworks. But the food there is always served warm; delicious, even presentation wise, is nicely decorated. The seating is very nice, comfortable, and welcoming. You could go here with your whole entire family for a celebration or just for a quick late night sweet craving situation. My personal favourite food to have is "I'll have what she's having" as waffles, which is yummy and even portion wise. It is great that it literally fills you up.

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! The burger was exceptional and the fries were excellent. I also got a can of 7up as well. I an definitely coming back here soon!

We ordered our wedding cake from here and we were so impressed with the service. We had it customised - each and every requirement was noted and the execution was perfect. The cake looked beautiful and tasted delicious - light and spongy, everyone was very happy. Thank you for a great service - highly recommend!

Nuovo Restaurant

As someone with a cheese intolerance dining out nowadays can be a bit difficult, especially in Italian restaurants, but Nuovo were so understanding and patient with me. There was a large party of us and we had a set menu, they came to me everytime they brought a dish out informing me what I could and couldn't eat, the meals that were mainly cheese based they substituted the dish for something I could have.

One of those was a mushroom risotto, admittedly I hate Mushrooms but as this was a substitute I decided to just deal with it, but it was absolutely delicious and I'm now a converted woman! Thank you the wonderful chefs it was delicious and to all the waiting on staff for all your help! I will be returning!

Amazing selection of mocktails, the Pina colada and the strawberry mojito were some of the best mocktails I've ever had. We ordered 5 starters and everything was incredibly flavourful, our favourites being the beef tacos, paneer and chicken lollipops. The dum biryani was incredible. The Matilda cake was the best cake I've ever had!

Not a regular and only arrived at this pub as I was in the area for other activities. Our group had food and drink and I can only say it was absolutely lovely. The staff were amazing the food was of a very high standard and the atmosphere was great. If I lived closer I would definitely go again without hesitation. Thank you

Very popular on a Sunday & I can see why - the food is great! Mainly roasts purchased in our party, and belly pork. Sadly very little to lure the vegetarians, so I won't be dashing back, but most of my group were extremely impressed!

A genuine 5 star experience. A little pricey but the food and the service was exceptional. Rana the manager made us very welcome and even made us an aubergine side dish which was a highlight.The menu is interesting with some novel dishes. They can also make things that may not appear on the menu.Nice fresh herbs and spices. One of the best overall Indian meals. Would recommend for a special occasion.Lovely friendly staff.

Excellent dinner last evening and such friendly & welcoming staff.
This small village pub/restaurant from the outside seems quite ordinary, however all is not what it seems!
Such an enjoyable & relaxed dining experience. Menu had an excellent choice to suit most requirements & very good value for money. Plates all well presented and plentiful with each course that was simply delicious!
We will be back!

Quiet so quiet it was not obvious the place was open.

Food is delicious however portions are small. Specially the crème brûlée. Perfect caramel.

Service is excellent, discrete, kind, and not pressing.
Atmosphere is not "french" ans the music a little too loud but everything is clean.

Brunch is served at 11, lunch menu from 12 onwards

La Terraza Tapas Bar

We've been coming here over the years, but I felt I just had to write a review after our latest visit. As soon as we walked in, we got the same lovely welcome we've grown to love, and the place was nice and warm too. I've got to say, the food was absolutely fantastic - the chef really outdid themselves!

There were loads of great options for vegans and vegetarians. We did miss the mushroom croquettes ;), but every dish was spot on. The new vegan meatballs were out of this world. As were the aubergine fries and stuffed peppers. I reckon this was the best meal we've had here yet.

It is always a treat to be greeted by the owner personally. It makes such a difference when you feel like they actually value your custom. This restaurant is still our top choice. If you're looking for a cracking meal out, give this place a go - you won't regret

Just popped in today for what can only be described as a very late breakfast, Weather outside is crappy but inside is warm and welcoming. Staff all very helpful and big smiles (Jess) especially was awesome. Food was prompt and good quality, Hot and no issues with any of it.

Lovely people, friendly, welcoming, with a great vibe and some really yummy vegan dishes. It's true the service is slower than main stream diners, but, it's all about quality, and it's made on the spot. We were warned that it's not fast and the chef kindly tried to work quickly. I'd definitely ring /order ahead if you don't want to hang around. The sizzler looked great, the risotto was tasty and though the seitan burger was more veggie burger (ie not the textured, block seitan I normally eat), it was OK. The ginger shot was well received and dessert was fantastic, gooey chocolate cake with ice-cream. Really super. Only disappointment was the Chai, a generic tea bag that had no spice taste, I'd encourage them to make up their own own masala tea mix, and they can sell it separately too! Thanks to everyone. We travelled two hours in horrendous rain to get there, and it was worth i!

Came here for our anniversary meal and the lady owner took time out of her meal with her friends to say happy anniversary to us .
Meal was lovely and fresh and when we were about leave the owner came over once again to say good night to us .
Young lad help the door open as well .
Its those little bits of class that go a long way.

Miller & Carter Northampton

Booked a table for two online, very easy experience and my request for table location was well adhered too.
The restaurant itself was as you'd expect from a Miller and Carter. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were sat at our table and had drinks within minutes, with the food order being taken shortly after.
We came for the steaks and were not disappointed. Well presented, cooked as requested and very delicious. With a wide variety of wines (and other drinks if you prefer) to excite the taste buds even more. Dessert was the icing on the cake...not literally. Our host Megan was a delight and added the human element to the evening. Accomodating and lovely!

We went early opening time. Welcome was warm and friendly. Food was excellent and well priced. Price was good mainly because they do not serve alcohol, so take your own wine at £7 instead of paying £25 restaurant price. Attention from staff was just right, attentive but not overly intrusive. Parking is free at the hotel car park just across the road. Would we go again ? Absolutely yes

What a fantastic friendly pub. This is a truly traditional English pub with an amazing atmosphere a truly friendly landlady. Great choice of beer including my pops favourite, a good old bombardier, and proper traditional homemade pies. Can't recommend highly enough, brilliant people food and beer ?

Always come here to grab some petrol for my car as its usually the cheapest station to go to still go here and since I passed which was over a year now I've come here for petrol each time, when I walk in always get hello used to come here often when I went to TBH to grab a muffin and one of the staff always knows I get it everytime, Luci is very nice too majority of there staff gives a warm smile is well however do have 2 issues. 1. Cars parked in the petrol bays & Air Bays preventing people from getting fuel and air for there vehicles or there messing around 2. Space between the pumps are small as the vehicles are getting bigger by the year and some struggle so it is worth to look into renovating the pumps a little more space however overall nice security guards too. The Greyhound

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Greyhound, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that made for a perfect outing.

What really stood out to us, though, was the service. Our server Angela was absolutely the sweetest! From the moment we sat down, she made sure we felt right at home. She was attentive without being intrusive and had the most genuine smile. Angela went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, checking in on us at just the right times, offering great menu recommendations.

Delicious food, and great service overall. We had mains from their Sunday menu pork belly and Roast Beef. Recommend you to try their side dishes, the one we had was Bone Marrow cauliflower cheese, amazing.

Great welcoming pub, we visit regularly with our 2 yr old & 5 yr old, We take our 'pub bag' to keep them entertained whilst we enjoy the real ale :-)

Food, service all good. When asked whereabouts of wheelchair accessible toilet, however, was met with blank stare and told there wasn't one, even though the Google map entry stated there was. Even to access ordinary toilets from the dining area, without going down several steps,you had to exit through the garden door and re-enter through side entrance. Hardly equal opportunities for someone with mobility problems. Thought I would check it out before going with my husband, who uses a wheelchair and glad I did because it would be impossible for him.

Bugbrooke Community Cafe

I've seen this cafe many times but have never been in. What a revelation. The grounds at the rear are beautiful. There's plenty of seating indoors and out. It's busy too. The café is located in the village hall, complete with a serving hatch and a number of tables. We ordered in a rather chaotic serving area but got our orders delivered to our tables outside very quickly. Staff are friendly too. Prices are below what you'd expect to pay in many other cafés. The rear garden is picturesque and perfect for a mid ride cafe stop. A real gem .

We had the chefs special mixed grill. It was superb! Beautifully cooked and presented. Sam was the best waiter, so enthusiastic, happy and engaging. He's a great staff member. Thank you Sam! He was also training a member of staff and showing great people skills. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Highly recommended for good food & service. Booked a table for 8 people but were on a narrow boat and delayed. Staff held the reservation for us and the chef stayed on to take orders for sweet /puddings.

Went here today with a friend for his birthday and had a great meal served by friendly and attentive staff. The burgers were very tasty and unlike pubs in London they don't do reservations which is another major plus.

THE LAB

Visited "THE LAB" for the first time, and I left with total admiration for the place, incredible little venue with the friendlies staff that I have ever met, the bar staff delt with the big crowds so easily and quickly that they made the job look simple.... Door staff ( ticket event) were exelent and the sound engineer did an excellent job of making the band powerful and punchy without being overbearingly loud..... All in all a perfectly run venue and I only wish I lived closer to it... 10 out of 10

We came up all the way form Portsmouth to enjoy the pizza! It really is that good.
The landlady is a delight and very helpful.

Had a wonderful breakfast experience at the Jenny’s! The selection was impressive, combining both hearty and healthy options. I particularly enjoyed the perfectly cooked sunny-side up egg and the savory selection of sujuk and grilled halloumi cheese. The plate also had fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and a generous serving of olives, which were all crisp and refreshing. Pairing this with a hot, fragrant tea made for a delightful meal. We went here for breakfast on Saturday. Lovely fresh food (pancakes were amazing) and lots of choice including some great smoothies.
We were a group of 6 friends visiting a local. They all liked it so much, we went back on Sunday for lunch. The cakes looked amazing so we also got 6 of those for take out.
Great service and a relaxing environment. Really would recommend the Barn.

Ginza

We had takoyaki (very good) kimchi (very good) fried squid (very good) and some beef spicy Udon with broth and tonkotsu ramen.
Both of the ramen and Udon had furikake I think and sesame seeds on top, which for tonkotsu ramen is a bit unusual but everything we had to eat were nice and tasty.

Interior needs a bit of redecorating but will definitely revisit to have sushi.

The Wok Inn Chinese Restaurant

Easy to find and parking was lucky to be just outside the entrance, great food, great service, great value. We all tried food that we had never eaten before and all had a great evening. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Every time I eat here I order the Chicken Durum, which is a work of art in food. Simple things are hard to get right, and the fact that their Durums put any other Kebab to shame is proof - just order the Durum version of anything and you’ll be glad you did!

Nick's Plaice

Popped into Nick's Plaice for a fish and chip meal deal this afternoon. It was delicious - the fish was freshly cooked and you can choose small or large we also had tartare sauce and mushy peas. Will visit again when I'm in the area.

Ordered from here for the first time, the food was nice, if a bit small, but the only thing lacking I'd say is the atmosphere. It's a little uninviting especially the Asian man talking very loudly on his phone whilst working on the laptop in the middle of the restaurant (he's clearly the manager), it's not very professional.

They could do with adding a little more friendliness into the place.

We visited the restaurant today and were very pleasantly pleased with the kindness of the staff. I’d like to recognise Jane who was working in the seating area, she was very helpful and very kind. She brought over some colouring sheets over for my children and gave us a rundown of the new menu and rewards to claim on the app.

Me and my family came in to eat a couple of weeks ago and there was a lovely man their I had spoke to who was cleaning away as we had arrived fairly late they were due to close and he kindly said for us to don’t worry and take our time we engaged in very small talk. As we left he came running out to thank me for being so kind. Which surprised me as I always try to be nice to others but never been thanked for it it certainly made my day. I just wanted to thank him for acknowledging kindness and also for him to be so kind also and thoughtful.

An outstanding evening with delicious dishes, packed with flavour presented perfectly and by caring staff who wanted to make our Erving as special as the food.

Trying to choose a favourite course was almost impossible but the Beetroot with goats cheese and meringues was delicious, the Monkfish and cauliflower dressed with curry oil was wonderful and the venison was equally delicious, so to choose one would be disingenuous. All of the other courses were outstanding the fig tart may have been better in a sweet shortcrust case. Your staff are excellent, attentive but not intrusive, a delicate balance.

Just happened to be in the area and 1st time visiting. Was very impressed, will definitely go back if I'm ever that way again. A good variety, really enjoyed my breakfast. Good quality sausages and bacon everything cooked how I like it and the Crispy hash browns were delicious. Thank you

The Optimist

This is a sports bar which is not my kind of place but the food is always great, reasonably priced and delicious! It is all cooked fresh and arrives fairly quickly. If you have tickets for the theatre you also get a 20% discount when you show your tickets. The seating is comfortable and it's a nice place to be able to chat but there are also several pool tables available and the toilets are well kept.

The price is worth it and at £16 for a roast dinner is a good price, the pub ran out of dinners pretty quickly so I would suggest booking in advance to save being disappointed. Bar staff were so friendly and also the bar has a very relaxed feel to it. All in all me and my partner will be returning to have a dinner there again.

The Black Prince

Good beer at a reasonable price and friendly staff. I only go there for gigs in the back room and every time it's like you're stepping into a sauna. You spend half the gig distracted by how horrifically hot and stuffy the room is instead of enjoying the music. I'd suggest not making any plans for immediately after as you'll just want to go home and have a cold shower to recover!

Matchbox Cafe

This place is so lovely, although small it's got a cosey atmosphere, it's affordable with fresh food and piping hot coffee. The staff are friendly and everything is just perfect so if you're looking for a cosey area to sit and relax this is the place!!

Queen Eleanor

This place is the best eating restaurant in the area, great value and good food, always hot fresh and tasty ? service was brilliant by all staff, definitely recommend here to all

Dreams Coffee Lounge

Great family run cafe - they really went out of their way to make us feel at home with our baby. Lots of great lunch options - we'll have to come back to try the others!

The Old Grocery Espresso Bar

This is a quaint coffee shop that even though it was super busy, I didn't have to wait long. It's popular with people finishing park run and then grabbing a coffee. The people working there were really nice and there were a few tables outside to sit at

The Good Loaf

Nice cafe, the service is great and friendly. Pain Aux Raisins is really delicious, one of the best. I like chai latte but it’s very strong and rich, so it’s not the best. The atmosphere is nice and spacious. Definitely will be back again when I visited there for parkrun which is in The Racecourse Park.

Manna food corner

Had a fantastic experience here at Manna. Ordered the chatti chor and it was amazing. It was super filling and the flavours were authentic and delicious. Took me back home for a while :)

Incredible tradition fish and chips. Option for gluten free (in a separate fryer for a fair fee on any day of the week). So refreshing to have a local chippy who knows how to prepare it safely, but especially amazing to have it each day and being so delicious

The food here is to die for I love coming here whenever I'm in town and craving something delicious to eat the food is worth every penny whenever I get to eat here I feel blessed and you don't have to wait long to get served
