We booked the Olde Sun for my Dad’s wake which by virtue of what it is felt like one booking you never want to go wrong, but I need not have worried. Upon booking, Sean talked me through how it would work and reassured me it would all go perfectly and it did. Visited with my family for my nan's 88th birthday. This pub is somewhere we always used to visit and have family 'get-togethers' when I was little in the late 80s to mid 90s, and have great memories. It's not how I remembered it, however. (Though to be fair this was 30/35 years ago) Service was quick and we ordered very quickly, but they were short staffed & we were waiting over an hour for our mains, however, they gave us a complimentary dish of chips to apologise with our mains...read full review
Just had an amazing Sunday lunch in the pub. We received a fantastic welcome when we arrived, which is often lacking in a lots of establishments. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was faultless. I shall look forward to returning here in the future!
