Great little country pub. The lamb burger was delicious, and the chunky chips were great.

£13 .30 for a pint of cider(inches) and a single vodka (smirnoff) and coke need, I say anymore. The average for the area is between £7 -£9

The allergen menu is 5 years out of date, and staff struggled to explain what was gluten free (starter only the hallumi, mains steak or gammon - or, possibly fish - no, I was not told what kind of fish it was).I strongly suggest this place is avoided if you have a picky eater or vegetarian who is gluten free in your party, or if you have a serious allergy as I would not trust the server to reliably ask and tell you if something was safe for you or not.

The whole experience of eating at the Wharf pub in Bugbrooke was awful. We were a party of 4 adults and a baby in a high chair, the service was ok and we didn’t wait too long for the food but when the chicken burger came out it taste really strange. My daughter in law left hers but I sent mine back. Another came and it was just the same so I left it. As we were eating a cat came into the restaurant and was walking on all the set tables then came over to us and was trying to get up the high chair it was awful! Whoever ate off those tables I feel sorry for. A young waitress came and carried the cat away. We weren’t taken seriously with our complaint and the bill was £98 A complete waste of money and dreadful experience Will never set foot in there again.

Stopped by on a Saturday lunchtime. My husband had the steak (often a risky choice) but he was very happy with it, I had the lasagna, it was delicious, nice and cheesy. My son had the Gammon it disappeared pretty quickly so it must have been ok. Lovely pub in a lovely location. Would definitely go back.

Wow! Can I just say what a lovely pub with amazing staff. Came in for a meal with my family and the service and food was excellent. The waitresses were kind and helpful with every need. The atmosphere in the pub was great with everyone being so sweet. Would definitely come again!!!

All boaters avoid this place! Boat past it! Unless you want to buy drugs, mix with under age drinkers, not being able to use the disabled toilet as it's just for coke heads to use not disabled folk like me! Only positive stopping here was the food was good. Who ever runs this place needs to clean this place up! Couldn't even go outside for a cigarette without seeing folk snorting whatever drugs and using the most foul language.

Great canal side bar/restaurant. Plenty of room indoors & out. If the weather is good, drink or dine outside beside the canal. Friendly staff will help to make your visit a little more ?

Disappointed with food for what it cost. I had the pork Belly and the meat was tough. I asked to not serve the parsnip puree was told it was butternut puree, yet was given Parsnips i dislike Parsnips hense thats why i asked not to serve them. The waitress didn't say much. The roast potatoes were not great and the Yorkshire pudding was flat. My partner had the rump steak. The waitress never asked how he wanted his steak. We used to love coming here as the food was very lovely. Unfortunately the last time we came we was disappointed. Sorry to sound fussy but think it's important that you are aware. I noticed that it wasn't at all busy either.
