We walked in for brunch on a late Sunday morning for the first time. Not knowing if we were to find a table our be seated we stood at the doorway for a few minutes until I went to the bar to clarify. Once we chose a table and waited we then realised you have to order via the QR code facility. Its all very impersonal when the only time you are acknowledged by staff is when food or drinks are bought to your table. I would imagine this also effects tips for the staff as you have to chose when placing your order. With no staff interaction or food at the point of order what is to tip and few carry cash these days to leave on the table afterwards. A bright point is that the decor and atmosphere is nice and the burgers we had were good. As a successful chain restaurant its clearly a method that works for them but its not somewhere we'd visit again in the future.

Loved this place - just ticks all the boxes! Great decor, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, sensible prices, and OMG what a choice! One of our party is coeliac and this place was highly recommended - I see why! The choice of GF was amazing - the menu was pretty much the same as non GF. We had booked for Saturday, but after a busy Friday, we dropped in thinking if it wasn't good, we would go elsewhere on Saturday instead. Needless to say, we didn't cancel and ate here twice. Tapas was three for £12 and reasonable portions - we tried the honey feta - delicious, crispy crispy arancini, bbq chicken wings, patatas bravas, grain bowl (great hummus), squid rings, and our fave - bang bang cauli. The truffle chicken was mouth-wateringly tasty. The burgers were good and lots of additional sides to choose from - something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the soft drinks options - sherbet lemonade, a peachy one, a watermelon one - sooo much nicer than coke or sprite, & great for designated drivers. Personally I was a little disappointed at the dessert choices - white choc ( not a thing!) cheesecake, brownie, ice cream sundae and churros - although the brownie and the churros were good! I just like a fruity or light option. And to be really nit-picky, the mac n cheese was literally mac n cheese - no creamy sauce. Certainly wouldn't stop us from coming again on our next trip to N'ton. Now please open a branch in Norwich!

Like many people I’m sure, a bit put off with the building works going on in the Market Square … Don’t be!! A lovely lunch, I had the pulled brisket chilli and stupidly asked for extra jalapeños.. no need wowser! Husband had pulled pork burger, it looked fab. We also started with a few tapas…. Sad to say the puddings didn’t get a look in! Thanks all of you for looking after us x

Our daughter was getting married early Monday morning but nothing had been arranged afterwards. We stayed in Northampton the night before and did a rekkie of the restaurants to try and book a nice place to celebrate. Zapato Lounge was so welcoming, so friendly, so helpful. They allowed us access early doors Monday so we could decorate the tables (there were 12 of us) and put up ‘just married’ banners. All were a surprise for the bride and groom. When we walked in after the ceremony the table looked lovely. The staff had added the Prosecco we ordered, and the glasses. I can’t thank the staff enough for making this such a special occasion with no notice at all.

I absolutely love Zapato Lounge! My go to place for breakfast dates with friends (I highly recommend the Veggie breakfast). It's great for taking children when you want a break from shopping but also want to feed them something better quality than McDonald's. My boys love coming in and relaxing on the sofas. There is always a board game for them to play or a selection of pencils so they can draw. I also highly recommend visiting on Tapas Tuesday. Choose 3 plates of Tapas and get a glass of wine for £11.75, absolute bargain!!

Food was nice, ordered the twisted chicken club, sadly didn't have any ciabatta left so had to sub in a different Bread. Still lovely though, edamame guacamole was a delicious - never seen other places offer this before so a must try.\\n\\nService was good but pretty much self serve, so not much to go off.\\n\\nAtmosphere was good too, music a little loud when trying to chat to people but generally okay

Went for brunch with my daughter and son in law. Warm friendly welcome as we entered and seated straight away. Good menu of interesting food. Friendly and helpful service at the bar. Great tasting coffee. Food arrived quickly. The food was hot and very tasty. The portions were good. The price is very reasonable. The atmosphere was warm and cosy. Great brunch enjoyed by all. Would highly recommend.

Visited on a Monday Morning whilst out shopping. Ordered on the App. Our sausage and egg brioche rolls came out and the egg was raw so had to send back the sausages were over done and you couldn’t cut them with a knife. They had been cooked so much there was hardly any sausage on the inside. They charged us £5 for each of these in a little brioche roll. We waited 25 minutes just for our drinks which came out after our food and we had to ask for them. Absolutely terrible service. We used to visit here regularly but will not go back now.

I reserved a table in November for a party of 15 people, table booked for lunch on 7th December. This was to celebrate my friend's 40th birthday. I paid £75 deposit. I sent our chosen menu choices a week before. On arrival, we were told our table was upstairs. Nobody took us up, we went up to a 'C' shaped table arrangement in a very cold room. The tables were dirty with crumbs and only had menus on, no cutlery, no napkins etc. A waitress then came upstairs and I said that sadly, due to illness (COVID), 3 people were not able to join us and I understood they would lose their deposit. I emailed the restaurant in the morning to inform them that 2 could not attend but I was only told about 30 mins before about the 3rd person. We the asked the waiter (who was the only helpful member of staff) if we could put the tables together as it really was not suitable and felt as though we were in a board room. We were told we could so we moved them together. The food then arrived, 2 portions at a time, with large gaps in between. Nobody could eat as there was no cutlery. As you will see from the picture, we had empty tables with menus, why would we just need a menu when we had pre ordered! We were then told they cutlery had just been in the dishwasher and was being emptied. We were not offered drinks, told to go to the bar or order on the app. Some of the meals were fine but I had the chilli which I have had before on many occasions. It was very dry and clearly overcooked in the oven to warm up. The rice was soggy and the bread was stale around the edges. The next stage was a shock. We all went downstairs to pay. I was then told that I had to stay as I had to pay for the 3 meals for the people who were poorly. I said that surely, that is why we paid a deposit. The waitress who was rude, made no eye contact and said she would speak to her manager who was siting in the restaurant and eating her lunch. She came back and said it was policy that I had to pay. I refused. The manager did not have the decency to come and talk to us, she just watched. The whole experience was awful. I have eaten here numerous times in the past and never had any issue. We paid good money for this and everyone said they would not return. Such a shame as we all ate there last Christmas and it was perfect. I am not sure if the management has changed but it really does need sorting out. It was not busy downstairs so that is not an excuse either. This happened two days ago and I am still very unhappy as it ruined a special occasion which was arranged a month ago.

Met up with family for brunch on a Sunday and had a great experience. Really varied menu with great options for gluten free dining so I was happy! All 10 of us enjoyed our meals and the drinks. Service friendly and not a long wait for food. The only thing that I’d change is to offer table service rather than lots of queueing at the bar, but that’s only a minor point in an otherwise good place.
