Green Dragon Hotel

This has been a popular pub in higham ferrers for as long as I can remember. Good mix of space with a pool table upstairs, darts, plenty of TV screens for football. Often busy, pretty good parking. Great big garden which is great in the summer. Regular events in which is nice. Beer selection is a bit lousy with mostly lager and cider. Not great for proper beers but still worth a visit.

Not a very friendly pub.No atmosphere.Sat inside the door's smoke from outside all coming in.Smoking area too close to the entrance.

It is a great place to relax and enjoy the evenings.

Beautiful setting, really friendly staff. Band playing was decent too

The hotel is a lovely, great setting with its beautiful gardens and grounds. There is plenty of space for people to enjoy a days wedding, especially on the lawns.Staff are friendly and polite, they are very helpful where they can be.Rooms could be improved with facilities that they provide in them.Breakfast is good at what they offer food wise, but the short hours the dining room is open are terrible, with everyone trying to get breakfast at the same time. Maybe a consideration of opening it 1/2hr early for people with young families who have to be awake early with youngsters wanting food.Bar is standard for price if drinks for a venue like this, you're always going to play a little more than you would in your local.Please change your in-house DJ. Its terrible, he can't mix songs and loops them and doesn't interact with the guest, and their requestRooms: Rooms are clean and tidy. The interior design is lovely. The windows could do with so long overdue matenence, so they actually open properly. Can be very warm on hot nights. What really let's it down is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities to be able to use in the room(even basic hotels have use of these). You can oder drinks to the room at cost though, but the price you pay for a room you would expect it to be complementry.

Basic room, but clean and sufficient to lay your head. Linda and staff made us feel like locals! Very welcoming and super customer service, room wasn’t ready so she gave us a discount voluntarily!which was so lovely , busy pub full of well behaved young people having fun…… but by midnight not a sound . We are hoping to stay agsin for the famous beer festival later this year, Kate and Brian Thomson 23/5/23

Friendly service with good staff and nice, well kept beer

Cannot say much about rooms as I was visiting due to my mates gig,there is a good selection of alkohol and nice people.Girls at the bar were gorgeous so will come back to this pub more often for sure ?

A nostalgic visit as I worked here 40 years ago.The bar hadn't changed alot, a quick drink, the barman was helpful.Disappointed they don't do food.It was cold couldn't take your coat offToo many don't do this don't do that notices for my liking

Worst customer service is terrible, imagine blaming the customer because your understaffed

Very friendly helpful staff. Had a good evening
