Reall shame as the food/mixed grill looked lovely when it came out but it didn't last long as the peas were like bullets and steak was chewy even though it was medium to rare. I'd advise to take you're own steak knife as mine was that old it was blunt all in all very disappointed ? yes spoke to a member of staff about the peas they offered to replace them but to be honest I just wanted to eat my food not wait around for them to come out let's face it it's not rocket science to cook peas. As for the steak knife that was a relic I also tried to to speak to a member of staff and she just walked off. I'm surprised the cutlery hasn't been checked a steak knife should have teeth on it not look like a butter knife your standard knives were probably sharper.

There was 19 of us that descended on the Needle & Awl at short notice for mine & my friends Birthday & the Staff couldn't have done more for us, they were absolutely brilliant !!!The food was excellent & piping hot,All the Staff made us welcome & were very friendly & attentive,Had a great time & just want to saythank you to them & hope you all have a great New year.Parking: Parking is free up to 2 hrs

Since posting this the owners asked for feedback on how to get the rating. The rating stays due to the following:Food - reasonable price but presentation needs a lot ot improve the rating.Service - slow - waiting in a queue on a busy day with only one member of staff service leads to slow service as I experienced. I only expect to wait at a bar for no less than 10 min. This was over 15 minutes and then rushed. Further drinks ordered via app - quicker but I don't agree with this type of service.Atmosphere - wellhow do you want this - if people are dining with you and its a busy day - yes it was clear for the table booking etc - but trying to rush people off tables, check with the kitchen or bar for drinks orders. This was inappropriate to chase people when they are waiting for food.This was truth and a true rating. The owner asked me to re-review my rating so to help them I've added why to this review.

Had festive meal tonight starters was the nicest we have had in a long time , we then had Xmas dinner which was well presented and tasted good roast potatoes where cooked to perfection.We did manage a pudding just , service was excellent no waiting between courses and friendly staff . Would recommend.

Went to the wacky warehouse today and the staff were absolutely amazing. There was a party going on and I asked if the face painter there was for everyone or just for the party and the staff informed me that they could do the face painting themselves. Thank you so much to Jasmine and Katie, the kids loved their hello kitty and Minnie Mouse face paint!

Despite being a busy Saturday night, Wendy was welcoming and found us a table quickly. Service at bar was easy and girl was helpful and friendly. Food arrived quickly and tasted lovely.

Significantly better than Wetherspoons! Lots of free parking and in a great location. Very spacious and food was actually much better than I expected as well as being much cheaper than I expected. I actually had quite a good pint too. Although a big chain, I believe they vary a fair bit with Needle&Awl being well above average. Exceeded my expectations. Well Done.Wheelchair accessibility: I like their compromise of having all the main areas and entrances perfectly level access and step free but maintaining some extra seating areas only accessible by steps.

Seated us at a comfortable table, told us about parking limits + menu options at bar or app. Food really easy to order, hot fresh and really reasonably priced.
