“I celebrated my 22nd wedding anniversary at The Rice Bowl last night and it was a fabulous dining experience. We ordered some traditional Chinese dishes including one which was not included in the menu but as we had pre-ordered, the chef was happy to oblige as they were given time to source the ingredients. For starters, we had wasabi prawns (which lasted 3 seconds before they were demolished) followed by a traditional dried scallop and mock shark’s fin soup. Our mains were a selection of popular dishes including steamed turbot with spring onions, ginger and chilli, crispy roast pork, seafood egg custard, spicy stir fried cuttlefish and tender beef in red wine sauce. Dessert was deep fried ice cream in coconut batter. Needless to say, my family and I went away absolutely stuffed and delighted. The staff were all very friendly and efficient too.
