We have had 2 Carverys here now and it's by far the best one around the area!Real good quality meat and all the trimmings you could ask for ? would definitely recommend to anyone ! My two daughters loved their food too, with a huge selection from the new kids menu !

We arrived early for the birthday lunch for my special neighbour. We were told not to looks at the prices as they had gone up “a few pence” We chuckled and ordered a latte and pepsi. We asked about the Halloumi sticks starter and were swiftly informed that there none available. So, we opted for the Warm rustic bread, with butter and balsamic vinegar. What arrived were slices of white and brown toasted usually an indicator of hiding stale bread (we were told it was sour dough, looked like the leftovers of a loaf). Wish I had taken a picture. There was hardly any butter, and was presented on a wonky boardWe were starving so had finished bread before meals arrived, this included me having to ask for more butter.Waited 45 mins for meals (lasagne and fish and chips), without even being asked if we were finished our BREAD. I mean how long does it take to eat some bread?? 45 minutes apparently! The people on the table next to us got food within 15-20 mins! When I asked about the food I was rather abruptly, told I had it wrong because they were waiting for us to finish our starter, but he never even checked on us so I had to go and chase the meal in the first place! We ended up walking out because we were made to feel unwelcome, waited another 15 minutes and lost our appetites. Just as we were leaving he was bringing the meals, that had clearly been left in the under a hot lamp, as the lasagne was charred and hate to imagine what the fish was like. When we said we were going not even an apology, just turned on his heel and took the food back. I left money for the drinks and starter.I have never experienced such awful service, in stark contract to the ladies on the other table who had constant attention. Will never go back. Disgusted and disappointed. Will wait for new management.

Really great pub with good beer and excellent food! Service was great too :) it was quite quiet but it was a Monday night in February! They were also happy for me to sleep in my camper in the car park - I’ll definitely be back :)

Went on a Thursday for lunch. Excellent lunch menu in addition to the normal full menu. Food delicious, I had the lasagna, my father had liver, bacon with mash potatoes and my husband had the hunters chicken. Food piping hot and fabulous attentive service thank you…..we will be back!

Very slow service, despite it not being at all busy (45 minute wait for our mains). No children's menus printed. Not offered sauces when our meals arrived. The chicken was dry and over cooked. The chips were the saving grace of the meal. Had the crumble for pudding, which was unusually watery for a crumble. Unlikely to return.

The food is great, the locations are great, they take pets. The rooms are really practical for business or leisure. Parking is safe and free. This is a great British Pub. They are part of a well managed group. I travel a lot and often on a motorcycle. This is exactly, perfectly well thought through. Enjoy. Loved it.Parking: Bikes off the road out of sight.Cars no problem and I had a truck.

Delicious Sunday lunch, excellent choice, perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. Catered well for my dietary requirements. Would strongly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Being Coeliac it often restricts my menu choices but the Talbot catered very well and accommodated my needs. Excellent choice of food.
