Just back from the most delicious Valentine's evening meal. A wonderful experience start to finish with friendly waiting staff and prompt service. The portions are huge and the smokey flavours to the meats are delicious without being overpowering. Such a homely atmosphere. And the desserts!!! Without a doubt the best rhubarb crumble I've EVER had - and I think myself a proper rhubarb crumble connoisseur! Job well done folks! We are delighted we chose to dine with you this evening. Can't wait to come back.

Absolutely fantastic! The food, the friendliness of the staff and management were all totally beyond reproach. Very pleased to have found such a gem. A restaurant that I am sure I will revisit again and again. I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops.

I've been on On the Hoof several times now and it is now one of our regular places to dine out. Would highly recommend the garlic pizza bread, the pizzas and the beef brisket bun with fries. I haven't had anything else but the roast dinners on Sundays are next on my list!Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free pizza options

My lovely nephew had his wedding reception here and the food , service and atmosphere could not be faulted. The seasonal decor was beautiful and very much appreciated on a dull rainy December day. After a warm welcome we started with a glorious array of canapes followed by a plentiful selection of beautifully cooked meat platters , salads and roast potatoes ( I had a veggie option - equally tasty ) The puddings which followed were equally delicious and plentiful, a perfect ending to a gorgeous meal. Our whole party enjoyed ourselves tremendously so a very big thank you to the staff of on the hoof for helping make the day so special.

Delightful locally-owned business that serves amazing brunch in the morning, and then mouthwatering home-smoked barbecue meats and sides in the afternoon. The restaurant owner Fiona is a delight, very attentive and friendly, and very passionate about her craft of delicious barbecue. The atmosphere is homely and comfortable. We could have happily spent the entire afternoon there! The smoked meats are some of the best I’ve ever tried, comparable to the late Bubbacue in Belfast. We traveled from Belfast to eat here, as we had bought from On The Hoof’s food cart at an event and had loved it.Oh, and try the chocolate brownies - couldn’t recommend them more!

I have been looking for a good BBQ joint in NI for the past ~7 years, but have never been able to find the right restaurant . . . until last weekend! The smoked beef brisket from "On the Hoof" has a delicious, rich, smokey flavor and melt-in-the mouth tenderness?I wasn't certain if the food would be worth the 50+ minute drive; but am already planning my next trip. Well worth a trip!

First visit on recommendation from a local. Both had loaded fries, beef brisket and chicken. Both were amazing, had reservations about the £15 each price but they were worth every penny. Generous portions, full of flavours and home made coleslaw side with a zingy kick. Fries were really crispy, would go back again happily. Surroundings clean and bright, staff friendly and welcoming, can't fault it.

Delicious food. The brisket and pork are mouth watering. Beautiful salads and sides. Excellent service. Lovely staff. On The Hoof was the venue for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday party. They pulled out all the stops which helped to make it a night to remember. If you haven't dined here yet I would highly recommend you do so. We can't wait to return.

Had high hopes, husband ordered the sharing platter, which we thought would be plenty, when it came all it was, was a rack of ribs and few slices of pork in a box, small box of chips, the tiniest tub of coleslaw and garlic mayo! For £30 we were expecting a lot more, the ribs and meat were also so dry,! Chips were nice and coleslaw but definitely not worth £30.
