What a gem of a find, just on the little high street across from the harbour.Lovely young staff serving simple, classic cafe food. We had the lunch time Irish stew with soda bread and it was absolutely delicious (£6.50). Fresh chunks of carrots and potatoes with melty soft meat. Very warm and nourishing, much needed after a chilly ferry crossing.Very good prices and clearly popular with the locals.Cash only.

Coffee was absolutely disgusting it was like watered down milk and tasteless, staff just looked at me when I said it wasn’t nice and didn’t even offer a refund, wouldn’t recommend this place

Really helpful staff when 9 rowdy women descended for lunch! Lovely food, fish and chips delicious. Very attentive waiting staff and a thanks to Ryan for dealing with some craic from the ladies. Would recommend to anyone visiting Ballycastle.

We were recommended this place by a local resident and it proved to be fully justified. Great food and most pleasant and attentive service. We had two children aged 5 and 7 in our party and the staff could not have been more helpful in meeting their eccentric requirements. My wife said her fish cakes were the best she had eaten, my chowder was excellent, and our grandson wolfed down his fish (fresh, flaky cod in a light batter) and chips. What’s not to like?

I had a small fry which was great and not greasy. My granddaughters had chicken nuggets and chips which they loved. Great pot of tea too. Must say the young staff were so attentive and friendly . Will definitely be backKid-friendliness: Nice selection of kids meals and either a carton of Suki or milk.

Went here on Saturday and had their stew which was delicious and really good value. My wife and kids all enjoyed their food. As we had our dog we sat outside and the staff were very friendly. Would recommend and will go back.

Lovely little find, very busy so always a good sign, the staff were very efficient and attentive and the Fish chowder and wheaten bread are the best we have had. Highly recommend

What looked a good seafront cafe was disappointing to us - 1) HOMEMADE FISHCAKES OK but a bit tasteless 2) CHICKEN CURRY AWFUL and when asked for half and half for rice and chips - my request refused 3) Turned out to be CASH ONLY - we found no notice of this and when offering Scottish money, this was questioned but eventually taken In our view - there needs to be a big improvement!
