I would give below 1 star if I could. Avoid this restaurant when visiting the Galgorm. Food is over priced for what it is. Service is poor and staff are not helpful.Took sick after eating food from this restaurant twice on different occasions. Won’t be backThis bad experience ruins the ambiance of the beautiful hotel and spa.

very disappointed in the lunch we got yesterday. first of all the restaurant was freezing and other people including ourselves had to ask to have tables near to the fire. starters of bang bang chicken were good. but we both ordered the Lemon Sole, (which was definitely not fresh) when you can smell the fish on your plate u know its not good even if it had been fresh the portions were very very small. £69.00 and we left to go home hungry. Defo wont be back.

Christmas menu was delicious. Staff were very pleasant and there was no long wait between courses. Lovely

Average Christmas experience. The staff are very helpful and polite however overly attentive, we were constantly prompted regarding drinks, each course and then payment - all in all it felt rushed. The restaurant was extremely quiet yet we were asked to leave as they needed the table back. With regards to the food, the quality has decreased and prices increased. There are much better restaurants offering better Christmas lunch/dinner options.

So this was part of the package we had booked within the Galgorm. Menu we were given was the residents menu which was a 3 course meal, however we opted for steaks which has a supplement charge. But damn was it worth it, food here is so tasty and flavour some! Has to one of the best steaks I've ever had!! If you're a cocktail drinker you'll not be disappointed either, slightly pricey price tag for them for worth it! Also the breakfast in here is so damn good! Set us up for the rest of the day!

Great good and friendly staff. This is on location for Galgorm spa. If your staying at the resort be sure to pre-book a 4 course meal.

Obvious that all staff are trained to a high standard. Excellent service and fantastic allergen awareness. A warm welcome, professional but fun staff , delicious food , quality wine in eclectic surrounding. Love the uniforms ?

Went high expectations for evening dinner staff as you would expect, disappointed that many of the diners were dressed in sports wear including very shot shorts surly a hotel/restaurant pitching and pricing at the level Galgorm and Gillies do should have a smart casual dress code. Starters and main course were good but adding sides at the server’s recommendation made main meal expensive ( I declined a side as menu stated my main course had fries included my wife ordered side to discover it was not necessarily needed as dish was adequate without) dessert was disappointing at a cost of £9.50! Expected better. Beware a bottle of water is £6.10 so don’t let the server rush you ask for tap water At the level this establishment promotes its self at everything should be perfect

We came to the restaurant after a long late drive and we were very hungry and they took us in even as it was about to close. And a very nice waitress served us. Her name was Joana and also the food was amazing. Friendly atmosphere and a very nice location. I would like to thank Joana for all the help.

We went for a drink last month. We’ve used Gillies plenty of times in the past and, with it being an hotel, you expect to pay more than you would in a local bar.The last time we were in a couple of months earlier, the place was buzzing - so much so that we were surprised where people were getting the money from during the economic downturn we’re all experiencing. This time however, the place was empty and I think I realise why now.1 glass of white wine (not a large glass) and a normal sized glass of Coke came to £15.40! I couldn’t believe it but the server checked and confirmed that it was correct.Suffice to say, we finished our drinks and left. I certainly won’t be going again until the bar wakes up to these extortionate prices.
