Consistently excellent meals at Howard Street. Up there with some of the best meals I have had.I've been a few times now and each time, I'm floored by the food. Special mention to the duck main and the sticky toffee bread and butter pudding- both of these are divine.Considering the quality, it's also excellent value for money. We have had meals in Six by Nico and ended up having rubbish food and having to eat another meal that evening- no such worries at Howard Street.Only suggestion is the reception manager might do with being a little friendlier, she seems very curt whenever we have visited. Other staff are wonderful.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I just wanted to leave some feedback. The food was good and it was a nice experience overall except for the way the staff wanted to pour out our wine. As they could not reach all the customers they emptied the bottles into the glasses that they could reach. As a group of 7 spending £27 per bottle it would be good to let the customers decide how they want to share their wine.

One of the best French Onion Soup I have had so far.

What was billed as Irish Hereford Ribeye had unchewable gristle in almost every bite, and none of the characteristic pockets of fat. It was a chore to eat, whatever it was.Still, the diners around me seemed happy enough with their dishes, so maybe their other offerings are better.

I went to Howard Street with 4 friends. We had a lovely meal. We arrived at 6pm but were still offered the pre-theatre menu available from 5pn-6pm. I think there's something on that menu for everyone and 2 courses for £26 or 3 for £34 (supplement for steak) is a good price.Service is good and we all had a lovely meal.

Terrible. Had to pre order our meals and they still wrong. Drinks order wrong. Chasing waitresses for a drink. Just terrible all round.

I went with a group of six , including a seven year old and a vegan adult. Food was very good, I had the curry which was lovely. Everyone was pleased with their dishes. The service was excellent, our waiter was very attentive.

Nice waitress , nice decor, great deserts but the starter and main courses were pretty average unfortunately. I had high expectations.Maybe this is because I got off the pre-theatre menu. Regardless it's not the first time I've got a pre-theatre menu in the town and never noticed a lack in quality because of it. I left hungry after three courses ?

Booked for my husband‘s 40 th birthday on Saturday night.First of all, I really disappointed with not getting candle I asked for emailed them 2 days before even though I got confirmation email from manager.Arrived 5 min before nobody welcomed us or say “hello” at all. Few waitresses passed by wasn’t welcomed. Waited 5-10 mins to get a table had to ask to get our coats to the women (receptionist) didn’t even say sorry for keeping you wait .Food delivered ok the table was corner of other section blocked the view and the ambiance was a bit weird.I’ve been to “Muddlers club “ and “OX” which are top fine dining restaurants with high quality of service. It can’t compare with them at all. We usually go to Jamestreet South for my birthday wanted to try somewhere else but it was mistake. Can’t even compare with James about good service and atmosphere. Never will go back to there.
