Food was quite nice. One member got a very small piece of roast beef for their mains , more like a childs portion. Not worth £23 quid !Service was slow, younger staff quite heedless, didn't seem to be able to read the room at all .Wine, way over priced, senior waiter (bald guy with dark rimed spectacles) was all fired up at the beginning of our time there, went down in everyone's estimation by the end of our meal, his manners and attitude was very poor .Didn't even bother to ask us how our meal was ,nor did he say thanks when we paid and left him a tip.Four of us went for a meal, and only two willing to return.I think there are better establishments in Belfast which has better food and definitely better trained staff .

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. The only thing I would have to say is to have more flavours going on the plate. Adam was amazing, such a lovely gentleman and a credit to Shu a very professional service! Also Carlos was very attentive and very professional. What lovely staff they have at Shu.

I was invited to a dinner at Shu two weeks ago. We had a nice round of drinks followed by starters, main course and dessert. The main course (palaice fish) was the best and I highly recommend it! The onion parfait starter was the next best. Dessert (apple caramel meringue something) was too sweet for my liking. The place was a bit loud that night. Our server was extremely nice though!

Outstanding. Friendly and quick service. Food was amazing. Tuna Tartare and Roast Duck were standout dishes. As it was New Years Eve it was on the pricey side of value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Extremely disappointing. Myself and family have dined at Shu a number of times over the years. The main reason we kept coming back was because of the location and the fact that they do have a standard menu in place during early afternoons. My recent experience was infuriating as the service was shambolic. After finishing the main course, the staff just ignored us. We had finished our cocktails and were just sat there waving our hands in the air trying to find out what was happening. Nothing for at least 30 minutes. When we finally got the aloof waiters attention, he was completely indifferent to the fact that we had not received our dessert. He could see our empty plates and glasses. No food or drink on the table. Service was so bad it felt deliberate. After I told the manager she offered to refund two cocktails - notably this was only offered after we complained to her, this was not offered while we were at our table complaining to the aloof waiter. Too little too late so I declined this pathetic offer. Turned our day out into a very unpleasant one. Will not return and nor will my family.
