We visited the restaurant in March as part of our stay in Birmingham, it was recommended by a taxi driver there.Particularly good food, not comparable to the Indian restaurants in my home country of Austria, is simply much better there than here. Staff really very accommodating. The boss gave us a homemade dessert after he found out that we were from Austria. The boss was very pleased that we visited his local place based on his recommendation. I can really recommend it.If you're not a local, you won't find such insider tips.

I've visited this place several times, and I've always been happy with my meal choices. Even when it gets busy, the service is top-notch. The dishes are bursting with flavor, especially the tender lamb. Plus, the prices won't break the bank. If you're craving some tasty curry dishes, I definitely suggest giving this place a try.

The spice merchant in Eden has decent food it's let down very badly by poor management attitude when the reliance on technology has let them down. The 20% off offer has not been deducted after adding my local address so a quick call to the girls who took the order and deducted the 20% offer no issues - then after DL-ing the app it has problems telling me on a Saturday night I can't get a delivery until Monday so When I phone into the girls they're feeling pressured by the owner to not take orders over the phone due to technology failures.Sorry folks but if the girls can't do their jobs without being scrutinised by owners due to their online and app failures, I'll never get from here again. Something badly amiss between the management staff technology and customers - be advised of how poor I find this whole scenario.

Big chunks of melt in the mouth lamb in a lovely sauce.. My wife had Chicken Punjabi Masala with Pilau rice. Big chunks of chicken in a rich Masala sauce.... This was our first meal from The Spice Merchant... And won't be out last ... Big thumbs up from us....

Absolutely terrible - since the takeover the food quality has gone down but the delivery - well, waited more than two hours to have an argument with a bloke in a car whose teenage daughter was doing his navigation on her phone. Food cold, bashed up, the pakoras gruesome... Never again.

First time we’ve used the Carrick branch. Dansak was very disappointing. Very orange in colour, lost of heat but no other flavour, little to no lentils and no pineapple for that little sweetness. Chicken Karachi was dry and lake flavour apart from heat. Nothing like the dishes we get in the Whiteabbey branch. Won’t be using again any time soon
