What is going on at the Golden Chip? The food was awful last night. Soggy chips & the batter on the fish was so thick and undercooked. It was wet! Our take out was taken out to the bin!We will not be back. Sorry & disappointed.

What has happened to the Golden Chip? They used to make the best chips in Belfast. My chips were a soggy greasy mush, put them in the oven to try and crisp them up a bit but they ended up in the bin. So disappointed.

Should be called the golden groomer my brother was waiting on his crispy chicken stumps from here and some guy tried to groom him told him he would take him into ruby's and buy him drinks also said he had a nice bum brothers still not over it felt groomed not good at all.

Absolutely awful compared to what it used to be . Young girls serving behind the counter arguing and swearing at each other , made me feel most uncomfortable. Really slow to wrap up food as talking and arguing so much . Started to wrap my order and them moved on to another order while my food was left waiting . Food was cold horrible and stodgy . Place has seriously gone down hill

Used to be one of the best around years ago but it's been poor recently. New owners? Iv been a few times over the last 2 years and it's never been great but kept returning based on years of good reputation. Last night the food was awful, worst meat kebab iv ever had. Poor quality and swimming in rotten sauce. My partners fish was mostly batter and the chips very dry. Won't be back.

Fish and chips ? done the way they are supposed to be perfect, great quality and friendly staff bit of a queue but understandably so, the food speaks for quality and quantity of customers.
The fish portions were tiny and I got told that's the way they come from the fishmongers. I drove to ballynahinch and got a fish five times bigger for three quid less.

Really good quality chip shop. Great selection of options to choose from. Staff are pleasant and helpful.Parking: Parking can be a bit dodgy at busy times but you just have to be patient and careful.

Really disappointed Fish cold and soggy Chips soggy and all stuck together Threw half out and it wasn’t cheap Wouldn’t be in a hurry back at all Staff were friendly pity about the fish and chips
