Penny pinching on the bill left a sour taste. This is one of our favourite places. Great food, lovely people and good service. The portions are quite large and after 2 courses we were quite full - the steaks are amazing by the way. So not wanting a full dessert we ordered a single scoop of ice cream. They've done this before - they usually put it on the bill as a 'childs dessert'. But when paying the bill we were told that only children could get that and we had to pay for a full dessert. An extra £3. It's not much but after spending quite a bit of money and giving a generous tip it just left a little sour aftertaste.

It was ok I should have made a complaint (they plated my dinner wrong e.g they left part of the meal still in the kitchen ) but I was in a hurry so I didn't complain. I'm sure if I had a complained it would have been sorted.

Went with the family for an overnight in the Dundrum Inn.Greeted by a very pleasant female member of staff and were taken up too our two rooms. From the moment you open the front door into the hallway you could see everything had been refurbished to a very high standard beautiful. Then into our rooms again the attention to detail in both rooms was amazing with beautiful bathroom decor in both rooms.Rooms more like 4/5 star hotel rooms well above any b&b facilities I've ever stayed in.Had a great day out in the near by Forest in Newcastle only a very short drive away. Then back to our rooms for a quick change and down to the bar itself for a few drinks whilst listening to an amazing acoustic performance from a female artist who had everyone singing or tapping their feet along to the songs. All the local people in the bar were super friendly also making our night. All in all a great night away with family in great surroundings. P.S the Guinness was great.

Had the pleasure of staying a night in the B&B after enjoying some drinks, dinner and more drinks in the pub.Great pub in a great location. Beer garden out the back was great. Food was excellent, and the service was friendly and welcoming. The room looked recently refurbished, tastefully done. Everything you'd need and expect was in the room, very clean and the beds were super comfortable.Would stay again.

Stayed overnight at the Dundrum Inn after completing the Gr8 Dundrum Run. The views from room of Mourne. Mountains were breathtaking. Our room was beautifully decorated in keeping with the orginal charm of the building and bed extremely comfortable . We had a fantastic steak in the restaurant which was cooked to perfection and great craic in the bar afterwards watching the rugby. Will definitely return, highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

I called in for some food with my wife whilst passing through Dundrum on the way home from a few days break in Newcastle. The staff were very friend and lovely and food was average. I could not believe the price of a pint of Guinness £5.30. This has to be the most expensive pints in Co. Down. My wife’s ‘pint’ of Guinness zero came from a standard off sales tin which was much less than a pint yet they charged me £4.50. You can buy this in an off sales for £1.20. There was no entertainment or anything which suggested there was a need for the high prices. In Newcastle where the bars have to compete with each other (and most had entertainment) the prices ranged from £4.50 to £5. I understand this is only pub in Dundrum so it has a monopoly on price and no competition. Love to hear from the owners how they believe that the can justify these prices. Looked online at the price of a room. £200 per night without breakfast. Thats more expensive than most hotels which include breakfast.
