Visited Salir over the Christmas holidays. Really could not fault the food or service in even the slightest way. Perfectly sized and exceptionally tasty - ideal for a lunchtime snack. This place just keeps getting better.

What a pleasure to discover Salir in Newcastle. As parents without kids for the night we wanted a treat and we certainly got that. From the welcome to service to food and drink the whole evening was a pleasure. The tapas style dishes was a lovely sharing experience we especially recommend the squid and pork fritters. The onion rings side was also a knockout. The sisters who own the restaurant took their time to chat and nothing was too much trouble and we felt excited to return with family and friends. A must if you are in the area or even a trip would be worth it.

Warm friendly welcome on a not so warm day. Tables well spaced out. Decor modern, clean & cosy all done up for Christmas. Staff take a personal approach to service. We were advised by our friendly server that the chef had a special Seafood Chowder on offer. Wow this did not disappoint packed full of prawns & cod with a delicate creamy sauce, warm homemade soda bread was served along side. We had a Pinot Grigio to complement our food. Definitely recommend & will be back. Keep up the good work guys.

Highly recommend visiting! Really enjoyable time visiting for a coffee with friends. We were offered a food menu and the soup caught our eye. Customer service was amazing with friendly staff checking in with us throughout. The soda bread along with the soup was amazing. The coffee was lovely and plenty of syrup options too. Will be back again!

Visited Newcastle with my friends to get a coffee but after seeing the menu, we could not leave without trying the root veg and coconut soup. It was divine with stunning homemade soda bread and even better customer service! Would recommend if you’re looking to dine in Newcastle!

Sited almost bang in the middle of town, right beside the bridge, this is a restaurant we didn’t know existed. Purely by chance, we dropped in looking for a bite at lunchtime, and were presently surprised. Beautiful food, friendly staff, good service - this is a real gem. We plan to go back to sample their evening menu.

Honestly the best tapas food we have had. Everything we ordered was beautiful and the service was excellent. Cocktails were amazing too. First time going and we can't wait to go back!

We have been very much looking forward to spending a relaxing evening tasting their tapas dishes that looked so delicious on their website. We finally got the chance to try them last night and they definitely did not disappoint. We ordered a selection 6 tapas dishes which included 3 vegetarian dishes, two fish and one chicken dishes, as well as garlic bread and chips. The food was so beautifully presented and every mouthful was packed with falvour. Tapas is such a great idea for offering the customers food that they can share and enjoy together. After a day at work, we really appreciated the relaxed atmoshepre at the restaurant and the service was very friendly. We'll definitely be back to taste more of the dishes from their menu. The cocktails looked great and hopefully next time we'll also try those.Vegetarian options: There are 5 options in the Tapas small dishes. We tried three of them and we loved them.Parking: Newcastle in Co. Down is a busy town, but along the promenade there are always parking spaces available. Alternatively, customers can park at Donard Car Park which is 5 min walk to the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Outside the restaurant there is a disabled parking space and it is situated on the ground floor. I would imagine it is easily accessible for wheelchairs.
