The strand used to be amazing! The upstairs views were one of the best, sadly…nugelato have taken over and have not kept up with this one of a kind spot. There’re loosing out on the great potential with the upstairs views and the classic unreal desserts, foods and staff.

We popped in here for a coffee and tray bake, lovely food, spotlessly clean , good service and friendly staff. Has changed since last time we visited, I'll be back to try the crepes etc. If you're in Newcastle pop in, takeaway coffees , icecream etc available.

Sat at a dirty table that was uncleared for almost 15 minutes and no one was in any hurry to come and clear it or take our food order... Wasn't impressed and won't be back....
Very nice. Friendly staff. Food was good with fair sized portions. We both ordered cheeseburgers with chips but got plain burgers. Explained at til and were charged for plain ones. Didnt mind.. less calories

Nice place for a chippy. Ate burgers and fish and chips. Fair size meals, decent price, amazing taste. Didn't tried the sweet treats. For sure they got me as their client every time I'll be in Newcastle.

A few weeks ago was the first time I was in Newcastle in years and The Stand just made it perfect the staff were lovely the food was gorgeous and the pavlova was out of this world
