It's amazing to find a restaurant open on New Year's Day evening. Usually, my birthday tea is a takeaway, but this year after watching Wonka, we struct it lucky. No booking necessary.Parking: If no space available in the hotel car park, plenty adjacent at the shopping centre.

Enjoyed a light lunch of two starters each today with my father. He had been to this Hotel many years ago so wanted to see it again. Service was very friendly and despite running out of chicken wings, we chose something else which was equally as good. I had the Salt and Pepper Chicken and Brie Fritters, both of which were good sized portions, and both hot and tasty. My dad had the Prawn Cocktail and the Pate, he enjoyed both, although I thought the toast the pate came with was a bit overdone. We also had wine and coffee, again the drinks and service was good. The restaurant is a little dark, but you get used to it, however this might not bother some. Parking is available to the rear of the hotel and is free.

Very nicely cooked steak! A little on the expensive side for some meals which could be reduced in price but all in all lovely. GF options for myself which was nice and it was cooked to my preferred rare.

Absolutely fantastic service, we came for an overnight stay and to see Fusion, me + 3 friends, we were told it would be extremely busy however Darren went out of his way to get us a reserved table and the customer service was impeccable and will definitely be returning to try the food and another overnight stay :)

Had a lovely evening out with friends and we are looking forward to another visit in December.
We called at Le Winters without a reservation but the staff accommodated us right away on a busy Friday evening. The service and the food was excellent. The menu was wide ranging and suited all tastes. The young waiters were so diligent and polite. We will definitely be back again.

I had my aunts 90th birthday celebrations there on 29th July 2023. There where about 21 of us including 4 children. The staff, the Manager and the food was exceptionally. The staff went above and beyond. One of best restaurants I have been to in a long time. The young staff and the pregnant lady were friendly, courteous and they went above and beyond for us. Definitely worth every penny we spend there. I can’t sing your praises enough. Thank you for a wonderful experience and thank you to your staff for making all my families day xxxVegetarian options: My sister, my daughter and her boyfriend are all vegetarian and they said, the food was delicious.Kid-friendliness: The four children were catered for and they loved the ice cream for dessert.

We stayed at The Strangford Arms on our tour of Ireland. It does seem to be the only Hotel in Newtownards. We explored Newtownards and the recommended restaurant, The Tuk Tuk, was closed. We had a drink in the local ‘Spoons which was very disappointing, so we returned to the Strangford Arms for evening drinks and dinner. The rooms are spacious and everything is very clean and tidy. We had a good evening meal and an excellent breakfast. Recommended, if you have to stay in Newtownards.
