Called day of no problem! Others must be booked way in advance, what happened to spontaneous. Our table had such a view! Lovely The food was top notch! The cauliflower was just the right amount of spicy! We were not rushed to leave so we enjoyed our company and everyone had a special time together. Thank you to Ocho Tapas!

Despite there being better tables avaliable, we were sat at a table by the entrance to the kitchen and had the delight of listening to plates being smashed about very loudly for the entirety of our meal. We then had quite possibly the most overpriced and worst jug of sangria we have ever tasted (once we finally could get someone to bring us glasses for), incredibly small jug and very watery. The food was good quality but in places completely overpriced, the croquettes (which aren't croquettes) were three tiny pieced of breaded fried goat cheese accompanied by a beetroot topped jar of what tasted like wet bread. The goat cheese was nice enough but very expensive for what it was. The monkfish dish was one skewer with a side salad of prawns (which tasted like they were from the freezer) and again at an eye watering 17 pounds, massively overpriced. Padron peppers were very well cooked and plentiful. The baked cheese spinach could have benefited from having more than two forkfuls of spinach in it, but the cheese sauce was amazing, we ordered extra bread just for that. The bruschetta and patatas bravas were excellent. A mixed bag of a meal, there were defintely highlights but these were overshadowed at times by high prices, which you wouldn't have minded so much if there had been more value for money.

My wife and I booked a last minute reservation and were delighted with the food. The restaurant was actually in Portstewart with amazing views of the coast. The food and sangria were both excellent. I would absolutely recommend stopping here for dinner.

My husband and I always make a point of dining here when we come up to the North Coast and have never been disappointed. We dined here last night and had another excellent meal. The food is always delicious and of a high standard. The staff themselves are always very friendly and professional.

Our family hashad 3 meals in here and have all been fantstic, defently one of the best spots for food in Portstewart well on a par with Amici across the road and well better than Harrys Shack. Just lacks on the decor / ambience side of things but the food certainly makes up for it! Will be defo be back again.

I was at Ocho Tapas this weekend, it’s been a while! I was so looking forward to this treat as I always enjoy the food so much. Well I was not disappointed it was amazing! I had both of the seafood specials, very different and both were outstanding! The plaice was done on Panko Breadcrumbs and my friend who “doesn’t like plaice” devoured half of it! The other special was hake with clams in a delicious soupy sauce. And then of course there was the usual never fails to please calamari, and garlic chicken on skewers along with veggie sides. All washed down with a very refreshing Alberino. ??

We dined here this evening, family of four, young kids. We regularly eat out in portrush area but this was our first time here and we were not sure what to expect. First impressions were tired decor but we had nice table next to window with lovely sea views. The Spanish wine was lovely and the food was very tasty - we had mixed paellla, patatas bravas, lamb rump and chicken skewers as well as kids cod Goujons. Now it was a tad pricey but service was fine and we enjoyed the food far more than the Ramore complex a few nights previous.

Great menu with tasty food. Nice if you can get a window table looking out to sea.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal in this lovely local restaurant - the food was outstanding and the service was excellent - we know how much this local family has struggled to get this business back on its feet after covid - and our experience tonight has proved that the food and service is back to its previous reputation - which is excellence - support a local business which brings something different to our community - great food, great service not to mention the great view !

Visited Ochos new premises for the first time since Portrush closed. Sadly I was very disappointed, the old ambient atmosphere gone, a very rushed approach regarding table time, tapas is ment to be eaten at a slow pace.Prices have doubled in comparison to other local eating establishments increases.
