When we searched for restaurants in Alnwick, this was the best rated Italian. I’m sorry to say it reflects badly on the others as the atmosphere was lacklustre, with nothing Italian about it. Unless you count the piped music! The food mediocre and my pizza in particular lacking in taste and flavour. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and attentive

We booked a table at the very last minute during a short visit to alnwyk. Staff were very accommodating and we dined early evening on a Friday. The restaurant was very busy however the staff were attentive and very friendly.Mussels starter on the specials board was superb and a huge portion.Main sea bass from the specials board was really good and the accompanying roasted vegetables were excellent.Speedy service we will definitely return

The restaurant was buzzing, but the service was swift and attentive. The food was great, and good value for money. The crab pasta special was excellent.

What a fabulous restaurant this is. We had English, Indian and Italian food during our 3 night stay. This was by far the best. Service was excellent and the food was very well priced. Highly recommend a visit.

Came here on Wednesday last week and the food was excellent with going on a lunchtime which meant that we could have 3 courses for 14.95 or 2 courses for 11.95.I started off with the Pommodoro bruschetta which was really good. And then for my main I had Proscuitto e funghi which was really good. Then for desert I had the berry cake which was really good but forgot to take a picture. :(Wheelchair accessibility: The resturant is located above The salvation army and is quite difficult to access if you us a wheelchair or arn't able to go up stairs.

Friendly staff, timely service and delicious food. A place where you can get reliable Italian food without compromising on quality or taste.

Book a table, this restaurant was lovely. It was up on the first floor so not ideal if you have mobility issues. Food was fabulous

Having just come back from Italy, this meal was actually the nicest meal I've had in a very long time... including italy!! I had the chicken rosmarino, and it was stunning!!! Everyone in the family loved their meals, too. The staff were great - very friendly and helpful, and it was nice that they squeezed us in because we hadn't booked. I would recommend booking as it isn't a huge place. A lovely, intimate restaurant with beautiful food. We can highly recommend it!!

We all really enjoyed our food, the starters and mains were very tasty and filled us up after a long day walking. We're hoping to pop back in before we leave!

Last day of holiday and just wondering round alnwick looking for somewhere to eat and stopped to read the menu. Lunchtime set menu caught our eye £11.95 for 2 courses, no need to eat later on. My son had a pizza which he said tasted amazing, me and my auntie had the garlic mushrooms and carbonara off the set menu. Large portions for the price, no need for extra pepper on the garlic mushrooms as a little too much for my liking but all in all a very good meal and very accommodating

We had wanted to dine here when we visited Alnwick last year, but couldn’t book a time, so made sure to book early this time, for Saturday evening. The restaurant is upstairs in the centre of Alnwick, and had a lovely atmosphere. There is an extensive menu and some specials. I had a pasta dish, Boscaiola, and hubby had risotto Contadina…both were delicious, really tasty. Having had a shared garlic bread for starters, we had no room for dessert, but saw some lovely ones coming from the kitchen. The staff here were lovely, and happy to make recommendations…loved it, and will definitely return.
