Fantastically friendly and super dog friendly. Food is superb with cakes even better.

The most dog friendly place I've ever visited. Lovely atmosphere, food and service. Had a ploughman's sharing platter for lunch. My dog got lots of fussing over, which was lovely.

I absolutely loved this place! Been exploring the coast for the weekend and came across this place on a quick online search for a coffe/meal. I usally like to sit for a little bit longer in a nice caffe to read a book.Couldn't have asked for better. The food was so amazingly delicious, the owner was so nice and approachable, like if he receives the people in his own house. (Sorry, didn't get his name)The atmosphere is relaxing and cosy with a garden to a very nice view to the countryside. I absolutely recommend this place and i hope to come back soon. It's a very special place!

Two of us came for afternoon tea after being recommended by the Coastal Custodian. It was fantastic. We sat in the snug everything was explained to us and what a choice ! Everything tasted yummy, I can not pick out the best they all were. Staff lovely kept coming in to see if everything was OK and we took 2 boxes home for our ever grateful husbands ❤️. We will definitely be back.

What an adorable cafe and gift shop. A very warm welcome and beautiful home cooked food. All locally sourced they can tell you where all their ingredients come from. Also if you are dog lovers or dog owners this is the place for you. They go above and beyond for your loved ones and have 3 lovely collies of their own Highly recommend for an all day breakfast or coffee and cake We will be back

The fact that we accidentally turned up 20 minutes before opening time and Andrew opened up early for us is testament to what an incredible place this is. The best breakfast and the best coffee in Northumberland by far, with service to match. We look forward to returning on our yearly pilgrimage to the beautiful Northumberland.

Service was great and very friendly. Food was lovely, the scones were some of the best we’ve ever had. The only downside was the owners dogs roaming and putting their heads in our laps when we were eating. We are dog people and had our own dog with us, who sat nicely under the table. However we found it off putting and intrusive having other peoples dogs invading our personal space begging for food. Otherwise a lovely cafe with great food.

We had an absolutely amazing afternoon tea at the cafe yesterday (Sunday) everything was delicious, lots of choice and an abundance of everything.....we even took enough home for supper! It was fantastic value for money. The cafe is very cosy, very friendly helpful staff. The main thing for us is its totally dog friendly. The dogs that belong to the owner are extremely well behaved. It's definitely worth a visit.

I like dogs but having too many milling around while you're eating is off putting. Only made worse by a visiting dog cocking it's leg against a plant pot leaving a puddle next to me and no one interested in dealing with it despite me mentioning it to a member of staff and again to the owner. There were dog beds dotted around for the owner's 2 border collies and another for a staff member's Westie in a very small indoor cafe area. More seating outside but weather not appropriate. Hot chocolate was OK and cheese scone although it looked OK was mediocre/tasteless.

This was a first visit to "The Rocky" and what a find. Definitely one of the quirkiest and most welcoming eateries in Northumberland. The warmth from all the staff was exceptional and our terrier Molly was made to feel very special indeed. Oh yes and the food was pretty damn good too!!

Lovely food made with thought and well tasty. Range of specials. Impressive cake choice too. Informed service and if weather good can sit in garden. We'll dog friendly. And wee shop of antiques and gifts to look over.

This is a delightful cafe . Our two Eurasier dogs were treated like important guests as were we. The whole place exuded friendliness and we sat down to enjoy an excellent meal . My all day breakfast meal was prepared well and was tasty . My wife’s soup, tomato and red pepper, was excellent. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and was very refreshing. We followed that with coffee and walnut cake ,again homemade and of a high standard. This cafe has excellent teamwork and all contributed to our eating experience. Yes,dog friendly but also a friendly welcoming atmosphere with attentive staff led by the owner.
