Had a great experience at this lovely hotel. Simon the owner was very welcoming. Food was on point and the locals in the pub were great. Can’t recommend this place enough. I even slept in past check out time, and I didn’t get into any bother ?

Great B&B. Breakfast excellent - Full English + toast, cereals and fruit juices. Also tea, coffee in room. Bar downstairs, but we had travelled after a big part the night before , so didn't use it. We could hear the road (A1) but it did not stop us sleeping well. Within easy reach of the coast - Holy Island, Alnwick etc.

Brilliant manager. We were given a great feed upon arrival. Made to feel like royalty. Lovely room- my daughters loved the bunk beds. Only downside was the noise of the road which runs adjacent. During cooler months this would be better as we needed the windows to be open.

Nice comfy family run business conveniently placed between Lindisfarne and Bamburgh castle making it ideal for visitors. Food is home made and tastes great, service is professional and has the British charm we all love and the waitress is smiley and cute. Ideal for anyone.

What a gem. Stopped in family room and shocked at how spacious both rooms were. Ensuite was also clean and supplied plenty towels for showers. Breakfast was also splendid, I have coeliac disease and went out of way to provide GF breakfast.Food available until 9pm on night of arrival. Nice friendly bar area.Views from room spectacularThank you to all the staff

We visited here on a Saturday night and had a lovely time. The owners are so friendly and the all staff make you feel so welcome and go above and beyond to offer a brilliant service. The food was homemade and tasty and very reasonably priced. We will certainly return.

Returning visit .we were left very disappointed my wife and our four kids went in for an evening meal.me an my wife had a starter which was good I nad the mac and cheese bites and my wife had the breaded mushrooms. Its is where it went down hill I had the fish which was £10.95 which is reasonable however it was a 1 bit of frozen fish which had been over done the rest of the family had macaroni cheese which was very anemic and if I'm honest looked like it was out of a packet .After paying the bill the woman who served us said that they don't normally do food Monday to Wednesday and I wish they had just told us that I have have been bedded from Tuesday night till the now which has wasted two days of our holiday as well as the rest of the family suffering as well but not to the same extent. This is a dramatic change from the last time and its safe to say we will not be back

Room was clean and comfortable, but overall the decor is tired. Overpriced, no toiletries other than two tiny bars of soap. Wifi unusable.

What a great little place to stay. Breakfast included. It has its own pub inside and not overpriced. It was easy to find, plenty of parking and outside seating. I had a 4 bed room which was very spacious, clean, newly decorated and with great views. Even my pillow was the right height. That is a first for me. It's run by a family who has just started the business. We received a warm, friendly welcome. The family went out there way to make us as comfortable as possible. I couldn't fault the place. Well worth a stay.

Great stay at The Island View! Was arriving late after a long day on the road so rung ahead to make sure the kitchen was still open. Not only did they stay open for us but they also gave us extra food as it was the end of the night!Seemed like a family run hotel and it definitely felt like it, as it had a warm homely touch! Great location right on the A1. Would definitely stay again! :)
