The good was absolutely fantastic and really enjoyable.

Amran's, Hide Hill, Berwick-upon-TweedWe have visited this Indian many times and every time the food is always outstanding. Great quality meats and tasty curry’s, my husband having tried most dishes on the menu. We love the dopiaza, tikka masala and bhuna. The portion sizes are very good.
It has a lovely interiors and ambience. The customer service is excellent, friendly staff who can’t do enough, special mention to Jakir. Would highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.

The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The Food was absolutely delicious ? as was the glass of wine.
As a solo female traveller I felt so comfortable and safe.

Paxton, Berwick-upon-TweedStaying in the area and called in for an early dinner. Pretty place with a lovely ambience. The food was perfect, every mouthful was delicious. Topped off with great service and friendly staff. If you are in the area I recommend you visit. I only wish we lived nearer.

7 West St, Berwick-upon-TweedWhat an amazing cafe in the heart of Berwick! We chanced upon finding this place when wandering around looking for places open on a bank holiday, and were so glad we did.
The food was amazing and the atmosphere inside was lovely and welcoming. The staff were great, they told us immediately on arrival that they had a big table in so there might be a wait for food, which we didn’t mind, but the wait wasn’t too bad in the end.
Would definitely come back here if ever in Berwick again

I love the live crab and lobsters on display; we bought some frozen seafood, white baits, fish pie mixed and 2 live brown crab ?
They are all well packed and frozen to retain their freshness.
We really enjoyed our seafood feast and have plenty to last the week ????

So while we were having a day out in berrick we decided to pick up a munchie box for £18 this was only for 2 of us but would easily feed a family of 4. The staff are super friendly here. If you are staying in Berwick-upon-Tweed or somewhere close and fancy chinese food then maybe this is the place to try.

Had to wait for starters but that was my fault for ordering the dumplings that were so fresh and cooked to order, and it was explained that they took 20 minutes , but mains were here as soon as starters were finished.
People complained in the reviews but I'm a very fussy eater and I was delighted.
Will definitely come back again next time I'm in berwick

The owners Simon and Sarah are lovely and welcoming, and despite staying there during the off season, the rooms were clean and tidy, we were well cared for and the breakfast was top notch. Couldn’t recommend this place enough for the price as it’s such good value for money.

None of this would matter if the beer wasn't good, but it very much is - the Tyneside Blonde fresh and well-kept. And Jenny at the bar is not only a wonderful human being, but pulls a fine pint all while dispensing her formidable historical knowledge about the pub and Berwick-upon-Tweed generally. Where has this little miracle of a watering hole been all my life? Can't wait to get back to Berwick to spend more time here. Thank you!

33-41 West St, Berwick-upon-TweedNice old fashioned little place. We bought take out but restaurant seemed nice, 3 other customers in the time we were there. £60 for 3x fish and chips, 3 x sausages, calamari rings, onion rings and chips. All freshly cooked for us after we ordered.
Was a nice surprise to find the fish was skinless when we got back. Only gripe is one size portion of chips, we normally get a large and share between the children but they had to make do as I wasn't spending anymore money!

It crunchy fresh and so tasty. The battered sausages are unreal. I know sounds silly but they are nothing like any other chippy ive had. Gravey lovley. Chips hot and cooked perfect. All in all perfect chippy. See you next year!

The breakfast tea was just what the doctor ordered having just walked from Etal. Also, it must be said that it's a refreshing change to be served by two delightful young ladies with personalities to match. Oh, our 2 spaniels enjoyed their treats too. Thank you.

Hubby had a full English and I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon - plus the usual tea, coffee, juice, cereal, fruit etc. We had a meal on the evening which was your typical pub grub which we both enjoyed. The sticky toffee pudding was lovely. The bed was comfy and the shower nice and warm.
The surrounding area is picturesque but we didn't get chance to have an explore as the trip was just a stay over.

West Mains House, Beal, Berwick-upon-TweedPlan ahead with this place! Bring a little extra cash too. The owner will not help you out if you need last minute accommodations like a friend of mine did.
You gotta pay for a sleeping bag. Probably one of the most uncomfortable and squeaky beds I’ve slept in but it gets the job done for cheap.

Berwick-upon-TweedWe came across this charming farmhouse on our way to Scotland. We enjoyed delicious scones and jam, and of course, tea. Afterwards, we bought some tasty biscuits in the shop to take with us. On our way home, we stopped again to enjoy the food and this place one last time.

The Crown & Anchor
The Market Place, Fenkle St, Holy Island, Berwick-upon-TweedCrown & Anchor is located near the Holy Island castle. Delicious food. Local drinks. Good size room with a view. Staff welcoming and helpful.
You can enjoy lovely walks around not only around the castle. We were fortunate enough to see family of roe deer and many types of birds.
Rooms: Rooms are above the pub but still relatively quiet. Good size room with bathroom including shower. A comfortable mattress so we had a good night's sleep ?
Walkability: Lots of different walks around from visiting local castle to beach walks and nature walk trials.
Food and drinks: Food very tasty. We truly enjoyed fish & chips and delicious cakes. Highly recommended. Booking suggested to ensure you have a table as pub isn't very big but very popular.

3 Golden Square, Berwick-upon-TweedWhat a lovely wee place this is.After a busy morning seeing the Lowry exhibition at Berwick Barracks we were both desperately in need of recharging.Spotting The Coffee Stop off we went.
Welcomed with smiles and mugs of cappuccino the menu is extensive plus home made.She who must be fed went for the sausage egg beans & hand cut chips whilst i went with mince pie & chips.Wow lovely served with smiles and hit the spot.
Well priced with super staff,we will definitely be back.Sums up our experience of Berwick as the folks are so welcoming and friendly ?⛵

The Magna Tandoori
39 Bridge St, Berwick-upon-TweedWow! The BEST meal we have had in a long time. The second week in January, but although it was quiet, the food and the service were top notch. See you in the summer Magna Tandoori.

The Cross Inn Pub & Eating House
Paxton, Berwick-upon-TweedStaying in the area and called in for an early dinner. Pretty place with a lovely ambience. The food was perfect, every mouthful was delicious. Topped off with great service and friendly staff. If you are in the area I recommend you visit. I only wish we lived nearer.

West St, Norham, Berwick-upon-TweedThis is a fantastic pub with great people working for the establishment, rooms were clean and looks recently added as part of an extension. Free WiFi is a bonus given limited to no mobile connection in area.
