Another superb night of great Indian food, service & atmosphere. There seemed to be new dishes on the menu & what we had was absolutely delicious & well cooked. Such a treat to come here - our favourite without a doubt & as it was full many others think so too - keep up the good work Asmara!

We went to Asmara on new years eve at about 17:00 hrs for a curry, we have been here many times before and have always been happy with the service and the quality of the food. We were given a "special menu" for it being new years eve, the menu did not have prices printed on it but we assumed it would be a little bit more than usual what with it being new years eve, we should have asked about the price. I had 2 pints of Cobra with my special meal and my partner had a glass of coke her her special meal as the coffee machine was apparently broken. The special meal was nothing out of the ordinary 3 courses but they charged us over 105GBP for it, what a rip off.

This spot is great for casual night out. First class service and first class food, in a very elegant restaurant.

Hadn't booked and was very busy,Friday evening. Waited for a table in the lounge area, which is really nicely done. Great service and excellent food. Staff were attentive and friendly. Going try the Buffet Night and take friends. Thank you, really enjoyed our meal.

We ordered 2 Thursday night specials. The curry's were perfect, everything else was spot on. Excellent portion sizes too. 100% score from us, 100% recommended by me ?

Friendly staff, efficient even though they were short staffed - they managed everything very well. Absolutely gorgeous food. Very well priced and the drinks menu must be the cheapest ever and lots of good choice. Highly recommended!

Our first visit to this restaurant having recently moved into the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the decor and ambience although if I’m being picky the vibrations caused when staff and customers walked across the floor boards was a distraction. There was a good menu selection but we stuck with favourites when making our selection. The food was well presented, well cooked and tasty, portion size was good. We each ordered starters, a main but shared a rice and a naan bread. Service was friendly, professional and efficient. Already planning to revisit. Ser

It is a bit hidden away behind an ordinary front door but upstairs is a restaurant serving the freshest poppadoms and dips with a twist, not the same old Indian food. Mains were delicious, soft and succulent prawns, tender millennium chicken, fluffy naan and perfect pilau rice. It's a must have when in Blyth. The pinot is beautifully chilled and favourably priced and the Shiraz good value too. I would go again.

Takeaway meal - we order takeaasy or visit this restaurant every Saturday, this week half the meal was missing the keema nan was burnt the biriyani was cold the poppadoms were soggy...very very disappointed Asmara, having to ring to ask for the missing bits and them taking 30 mjns....not good enough, £30+ for a meal....it should be right....it really wasn't!!!!

Brilliant place love the food, beautiful ... and the room out the back where you can lounge for a pre meal or after meal drink.

Great staff. I wanted to leave a tip for the quality of service. However, was incredibly dissapointed to hear that all tips go to the manager and not to the floor staff. Worth checking where your tip is going if you are planning to leave one. Asked them about this on Facebook ... Owner got quite abusive and threatening saying he deserves the tips for himself. Ended up handing the floor staff cash personally. Owner not happy. Pure greed and lack of respect for his staff. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I visited the Asmara restaurant yesterday evening, 2nd August 2023, with my wife and friends as part of a surprise 60th birthday celebration. There were about 20 or so in our party with a few more guests in the dining room. The service we received was very good. The staff were very efficient, courteous and patient when receiving food orders. The food arrived very promptly, with no incorrect orders. It was hot, well presented and delicious. None of our party had any complaints and I heard a lot of complimentary remarks about both the food and service. The staff parcelled up two orders with no fuss as a couple had to leave at short notice. The young lady on the reception and serving on the night was also very courteous, efficient and pleasant. I had chicken tikka balti with vegetable pilau rice. Delicious. Overall, a very good experience. We occasionally have takeaways from here and the service and food is just as good as dining in.
