I used to come here all the time, same meal each time but they must have changed the recipe. The food I ordered is awful! It’s left such a weird after taste in my mouth. Has no flavour. No spice, no sweetness. Even lacked sauce. I am about 5 mouthfuls in and I’m throwing the rest in the bin. What on Earth John’s Chinese. I’ve been telling everyone how awesome you are. £20 down, karma for having unhealthy food instead of cooking. Time to find a new Chinese ?

Really good food, served hot and couldn't fault it. I had king Prawn Chicken in spicy Shwezan sauce, not too hot..in fact absolutly perfect. My husband had Crispy Beef and veg. Order taken by a lovely young lady, very polite and friendly, we chose to have it delivered at a specific time..well done John's..We will be back again thank you for great service over the years!.

first time coming to johns, the person who answered the phone was lovely and helped with suggestions, the food was great, order came speedily whilst an immaculate delivery girl handed me my food, would definitely order again!

Had 3 awful meals from here lately. We’ve been going here for over 18 years and never had a bad meal. After doing a bit of digging found out it’s changed hands. I will not be back.

I do order for chicken chow mein with extra sauce but they give me another nodules with yellow curry sauce ? i didn't like it .

Disappointed!!! Loved this place, always amazing food but tonight our house special in Cantonese sauce was pale in colour, tasteless and i think they ve tried to bulk it out with veg to reduce the meat. Not sure if they ve changed the chef or the rise in food costs is hitting them hard, but ill be trying elsewhere next time. Shame as they used to be top notch!

Since this place has changed owners, it's gone down like the titanic, John,s was always the best food by far, now its totally rubbish, definitely wonte be back.
