Went for afternoon tea.Food was OK. Some overcooked, didn't seem to be completely fresh, felt like it may have been reheated. Scones were very damp in the centre - again cream had been added then left in a fridge so the cream had dried out.Booking in was a hassle. Had to repeat in 2 seperate text messages what I was booking for. Was told 2.30pm, then 2pm. Wasn't offered coffee, any extra cakes to take away, boxes if we couldn't eat it all (which we did hear another table being offered) and was texted again at the end of the day to "remind" me I had missed my booking for afternoon tea.Room was lovely. We'll decorated. Very pretty.Honestly couldn't recommend a drive there. Might be alright if you live nearby.

Past this place following a walk from Seaton sluice to blyth and as it was time for a cuppa decided to try here. Was busy inside so we decided to sit out. The cakes on display all looked great and we asked for a chocolate brownie. Unfortunately they were only available with cream or ice cream neither of which we fancied and they girl said she could serve it without but as ‘the till was programmed’ we’d be charged for the extras. Hence marking down service by one star as I’m sure a deduction on the till could have been made. We had the peanut butter slice instead and was delicious. Not too sweet and plenty to share between 2. We sat outside with a lovely view of the park. Was very relaxing

Came for breakfast with my partner, was welcomed on arrival, staff were lovely and sat us on the window table that has a view of the park. My partner got a scrambled eggs on sourdough with crispy bacon & I got a crispy bacon sandwich. All good was cooked fresh and all was delicious… will defo be back :)

I came yesterday for lunch and I had the chicken chipotle flat bread which was absolutely amazing the service was 10/10 really friendly staff will definitely be back as when I was looking at the menu the food they offer sounds delicious

Had a great winter afternoon tea here. Everything was delicious the sauasge roll, although smaller is better than the Running Fox's and the addition of a mug of homemade vegetable soup was great. We were served by Esther who was lovely, checking to see if everything was ok. It was our first time here courtesy of a gift voucher from a friend but certainly won't be the last

That hangover breakfast is something else. It was absolutely delicious and the brownies a had were amazing who wouldn’t want to eat here and have some norty bait
I had the burger meal from here and oh my gosh it was surreal. The sauce, the salad, the meat.. you could tell it was all homemade without even having to ask, it was amazing. The staff were so friendly and smiley when serving the dishes and drinks too, lovely little place, can’t wait to go back!!

Visted mr ridleys parlour with two of my grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed my sunday lunch, the portion sizes were huge and totally worth the money, such a pleasant atmosphere. Definetly be back next week!! Lovely staff members

Really recommend this little hidden gem!! The staff have a brilliant, upbeat persona and have no issue with a fast pace! Not to mention the food… portion sizes are MASSIVE and it’s genuinely unreal ??, can’t wait for my next trip back

Breakfast was delicious!! Freshly made so took abit longer but well worth the extra time since it’s fresh! We’ve also been for lunch which was also delicious great selection of food! Will 100% be going back! Staff are also very friendly and accommodating!
