We popped in for a cuppa on the way back from Hexham. It wasn't far off closing time but we recieved a very warm, friendly welcome. I am dairy intolerant and they were so helpful to find me a delicious cake to eat. The vegan Berry and lemon cheesecake was incredible, so tasty. My other half had lemon meringue and said it was amazing too.Will definitely be back. Thank you!Dietary restrictions: Great dairy free and gluten free options.

Very abrupt staff member, wouldn't waste my money here and especially when they aren't good with allergen/ dietary requirements(Edit after business owners response)I really wish I had or read the reviews first before stepping foot through the door. The owner and staff have a "customer is at fault attitude" and after seeing their very sarcastic and arsey responses to other bad reviews it just goes to show how pathetic and childish they are. This is not how you run a business.The problem is.. your staff. Train them to be better, make sure they aren't disrespectful to potential paying customers and make them feel like they're not welcome. Do better!Dietary restrictions: I asked to see an allergens menu and was very abruptly told "no!"This is now the law, they should have a dietary / allergens menu due to Natasha's law on offer for customers. I don't want to be told what I can and can't have off the top of someone's head when it could be wrong. Wasn't worth risking the chance of being made very ill, didn't want to waste my money here after that

Amazing friendly staff, scrumptious hot chocolate and for lunch egg mayonnaise sandwiches and tuna jacket potato which were delicious definitely recommend and will return

Very welcoming coffee house, we stopped for a coffee but stayed for lunch. The steak pie was stacked with beef! I had crisps with my pie not salad, my partner had jacket potato which was beautifully cooked with lots of extras. The servers were friendly and attentive, as well as welcoming to our two noisy terriers.Would definately stop by if we pass againVegetarian options: Limited vegetarian or vegan items but for a small coffee shop they do well
