Great atmosphere, great service. Ham broth was brilliant. The coronation wrap was not, it was a spicy chicken wrap. Disappointing. Mentioned it to the staff and they agreed, with a laugh, that it was not really coronation chicken.

Pleasant pit stop for tea and bacon brie sandwiches, with nice views of the church and market square from the window seats.

The food and drinks were lovely but staff kept looking at our table to see if we were gone which felt like every 30 seconds and continually came over to take away food and drinks while still eating. We had not been in long and tables around us had same people sitting on them with their drinks that were still there when we left. Were made to feel very unwelcome and would not return

I first visited this delightful Cafe With my daughter who highly recommended it I was not disappointed. So when we visited later in the year I persuaded my husband to try it.Very busy but a table for 2 was ready in a very short time,& order taken for drinks .The specials were advised along with a good choice menu.Ham Hock broth was our choice served with lovely bread,Superb ,a meal in a dish,so tasty & filling. The staff were helpful, & cheerful!!What a bonus in these times of gloom. The lady in charge works with her staff & obviously promotes good customer service . Whenever we are visiting this will definitely be on my "must visit" Corbridge is a very picturesque olde world town ,lots of small shops & a walkable distance.plus next to the river.

Called in here for a cup of coffee late on in the afternoon. The lovely staff said that cakes and scones were available if we wanted , so I decided to try a cheese scone... Wow absolutely delicious. Now I love a cheese scone, everywhere I go I have one, cafe's, garden centres, posh coffee shops, farmers markets the lot and I have to say this was THE NICEST I have ever had. Not too dry, not to stodgy, just light and perfectly cheesy without being overpoweringly so. I had mine warmed up with an extra pat of butter and advise you have the same, you won't be disappointed :o) Just looking for any excuse to head to Corbridge now, so I can get a regular fix.

THE MOST TASTELESS SCONE EVER . Out on the bike to day and called in for brunch . Had a cheese and pickle toastie which was nice and a black coffee this came to over £10 . EXPENSIVE . Then I had a fruit scone with butter , it was the hardest driest most tasteless thing I have ever eaten . It tasted like it had been quarried not baked . My friend had a carrot cake , which wasnt home made and tasted full of preservatives . Yuk .Yuk. Yuk . Find somewhere else to eat . Anywhere else .

An excellent find in the market place in Corbridge that offered gluten free options for my coeliac husband. We both had a piece of cake with a hot drink for just over £10, so good value.

As a family with the Corbridge name we had to call into the village on our way home from Seahouses and what a wonderful village it is. Thanks to a local recommendation we had a family lunch at the Tea & Tipple and it proved an inspired choice. The food was great (my prawn sandwiches were lovely) and the service was very efficient and friendly and the whole experience was first class. We highly recommend this cafe.

Staying in the area has lunch twice and I can throughly recommend, friendly staff and delicious food. I can vouch for the panini and the soup of the day was Moroccan vegetable it was extremely good. Will visit again when in the area.
